  • Patent number: 7278938
Abstract: A power transmission device includes a first one-way clutch that transmits a rotational power of a pulley to a rotating shaft, and a second one-way clutch that transmits a rotational power of a rotor of a motor to the rotating shaft. The first one-way clutch is of inner cam type in which an engagement cam-surface is formed in an outer periphery of a first inner ring, while the second one-way clutch is of outer cam type in which an engagement cam-surface is formed in an inner periphery of a second outer ring. This arrangement improves engagement performance of the first one-way clutch as well as reducing heat generation of the second one-way clutch, so that the lifetime of grease is prolonged.

  • Publication number: 20070200447
Abstract: A plurality of convex portions are located inside of a virtual circumferential surface. Each convex portion connects an adjacent pair of circumferential portions with each other. Each convex portion is an arcuate curve bulging radially outward. Each convex portion defines a minimum radius. A difference between a radius R and the minimum radius is a depth Dh. Dhr=Dh×25.5/R. A range of an angular width A in relation to circumferential portion and a range of the depth Dh are set by the following expression, (5.6×Dhr+11.3)°×6/p?A<35°×6/p and A<[360/p?2×arccos]° ??(1) Therefore, decrease in torque is prevented. Torque pulsation is suppressed.

  • Patent number: 7246428
Abstract: A method for mounting a coil onto a stator for a rotary electric machine. The method includes forming a coil piece by winding wire having a flat cross section into a single row lamination state including wire layers that are aligned along a line that is perpendicular to flat surfaces of the wire. The coil piece is formed so that a first portion to be inserted in the slot and a second portion that is not inserted in the slot appear alternately along the coil piece. The method also includes displacing the wire layers at the first portion from one another to change the single row lamination state to a connectively laminated stat e in which the wire layers at the portion to be inserted in the slot each adjacent pair of the wire layers partially overlap with respect to a direction perpendicular to the flat surfaces of the wire.

  • Publication number: 20060250041
Abstract: A rotating electric machine including circumferential portions respectively corresponding to magnetic pole centers of permanent magnets and defined along the outer circumference of the rotor at a plurality of locations, with each circumferential portion extending along part of a virtual circumferential surface, which is coaxial with the rotor. The circumferential portions are spaced from one another in the circumferential direction. Convex portions connect adjacent pairs of the circumferential portions. Each convex portion is located radially inward from the circumferential surface, projects in a radially outward direction, and includes angled portions directed in the radially outward direction. The rotating electric machine suppresses decrease in the average value of the output torque and does not use reluctance torque to increase the average value of the output torque.

  • Patent number: 7040871
Abstract: A compressor provided with a torque limiter constructed such that, in view of possible occurrence of accidental locking of the compressor, in the case where a one-way clutch is used in place of an electromagnetic clutch in order to permit a refrigerant compressor for a vehicle air-conditioning system to be driven by an electric motor instead of an internal combustion engine, when an excessive torque is to be transmitted by the one-way clutch, rollers ride over wedge surfaces and fall into pocket sections, or sprags are reversed to roll-over.

  • Patent number: 7007781
Abstract: There is provided a compact one-way clutch unit that can perform connection and disconnection of power in two systems. An end portion on a side of a deep groove ball bearing portion 65 of a second one-way clutch 2 is disposed in an annular recess 67, which is provided at an end portion in an inner peripheral surface of a first inner ring 7, so that the dimension in an axial direction of a one-way clutch unit is reduced. Further, an outer peripheral diameter on a side of the deep groove ball bearing portion 65 is made smaller than that on the side of a one-way clutch portion 60 of a second outer ring 14 so as to reduce a diameter of the recess 67 and the outer peripheral diameter of the first outer ring 5 of the first one-way clutch 1.

  • Publication number: 20060038459
Abstract: An armature for use in a motor has a plurality of teeth, a plurality of slots and coils of three kinds of phases. A plurality of the slots is formed between the coadjacent teeth. The coils of three phases are wound around the teeth. The armature has a coil structure, according to which radial force acting on a specific tooth is greater than radial force acting on another tooth. A peak value of the radial force acting on the specific tooth is approximated to a peak value of the radial force acting on another tooth in such a manner that a flux path in and/or adjacent to the specific tooth is made narrower than a flux path in and/or adjacent to another tooth.

  • Patent number: 6893368
Abstract: In this driving force transmission apparatus, with a simple constitution employing a one-way clutch 20 instead of an electromagnetic clutch, the driving force derived from the motor 33 can be transmitted to the rotating shaft 1 during engine stops, and the driving force of the engine can be transmitted to the rotating shaft 1 during engine operations. Also, the pulley 3 is held against the connecting portion 11 and the fixed-side member 26 by means of first and second two ball bearings 21, 30 disposed axially adjacent to first and second inner cylinder portions 6, 7, respectively, between which the opening portion 5 of the pulley 2 is interposed. This simple driving force transmission apparatus can switch between transmission and non-transmission of driving force from pulley to rotating shaft, and transmits the driving force of a motor directly to the rotating shaft in the non-transmission state.

  • Publication number: 20040253121
Abstract: A torque receiving member is fixed to a rotary shaft of a compressor. A pulley, which is rotated by an external drive source, is rotatably supported by a housing of the compressor. The pulley is substantially coaxial with the torque receiving member. A rubber damper is located between the pulley and the torque receiving member. The rubber damper absorbs rotational vibration transmitted from the torque receiving member to the pulley. The pulley has a dynamic damper. The dynamic damper includes rollers, which swing like pendulums to reduce rotational vibration of the pulley. Stress produced due to displacement between the axis of the pulley and the torque receiving member is reduced by the rubber damper.

  • Patent number: 6755030
Abstract: A hybrid compressor system has a hybrid compressor for compressing refrigerant. The compressor is selectively driven by one of a first drive source and a second drive source. The hybrid compressor system also includes a first one-way clutch, a driver for driving the second drive source, a sensor for detecting a rotational state of the first drive source and a controller. The first one-way clutch is arranged on a first power transmission path between the compressor and the first drive source for permitting power transmission from the first drive source to the compressor. The controller is electrically connected to the driver and the sensor. When a drive source of the compressor is switched from the second drive source to the first drive source, the controller orders the driver to stop the second drive source after the rotation of the first drive source is detected.
