  • Patent number: 8721056
Abstract: A continuous multi-nozzle inkjet recording apparatus includes a multi-nozzle inkjet head including a liquid chamber, an ink nozzle plate, and a heating unit, a gas flow applicator, a cap, and a gutter unit. The ink nozzle plate includes ink jetting nozzles to jet ink column. The heating unit stimulates the pressurized ink at an exit opening of the ink jetting nozzles to separate ink droplets from the ink column. The gas flow applicator applies a gas flow to flying ink droplets. The gas flow applicator includes an opening to jet the gas flow. The cap shields an area of the gas flow from an ambient atmosphere space existing around a transporting and image forming area for the recording medium. The gutter unit catches ink droplets. Ink droplets not caught by the gutter unit are directed onto a recording medium to form an image on the recording medium.

  • Patent number: 8058791
Abstract: In an electron-emitting device manufacturing apparatus for forming a surface conduction electron-emitting element by a conductive thin film, a discharge head of a piezo-jet type using a piezoelectric element has a diameter being equal to or less than ?25?m and jets a solution that includes metal micro-particle material for forming the conductive thin film, on the area between the electrodes, which are formed on a substrate of the electron-emitting device, as a droplet. A volatile component in a solution dot pattern is vaporized after the droplet is jetted on the substrate so that a solid content is remained on the substrate. The solution having micro-particle dispersed in liquid satisfies a relationship of 0.0002?Dp/Do?0.01 where Dp denotes a diameter of the metal micro-particle and Do denotes a diameter of the discharge opening.

  • Patent number: 7728503
Abstract: An electron emission element according to the present invention is compact, thin and low cost, and has a structure and constitution in which deterioration of the electron emission material itself is low. In the electron emission element, boron nitride material is used as the electron emission material, and a metal material or a semiconductor material is used as a substrate for forming the boron nitride material. In this way it is possible to obtain good quality boron nitride material on the substrate. Also, a voltage can be applied to the material to emit electrons, also electrons can be supplied. Moreover, by using Sp3-bonded boron nitride as the boron nitride material, and using Sp3-bonded 5H—BN material or Sp3-bonded 6H—BN material as the Sp3-bonded boron nitride, a field electron emission element can be achieved for which high efficiency electron emission characteristics unprecedented in conventional art can be obtained.
