  • Publication number: 20040242265
Abstract: There is disclosed a wireless communication apparatus which provides a plurality of images stored in a storage to an initiating wireless communication apparatus through wireless communications. A reception unit receives an image acquisition request transmitted from the initiating wireless communication apparatus. The request conforms to a camera control protocol for exchanging information relating to images. A selection unit selects, in response to the image acquisition request, one of the plurality of images stored in the storage. A transmission unit then transmits a response to the initiating wireless communication apparatus in accordance with the camera control protocol. Information relating to the one of the plurality of images that is selected by the selection unit is contained in the response.

  • Publication number: 20040217538
Abstract: An image forming apparatus has an image former for forming an image on a sheet at a predetermined image-forming speed; a plurality of feeders; a carrier for carrying the sheet fed from either of the feeders to the image former; and a controller for controlling the carrier to suspend the sheet fed from either of the feeders at a first position upstream of the image former. The controller determines whether a subsequent sheet is suspended at a second position upstream of the first position and/or controls a speed at which the carrier carries the sheet, based on a feeder that feeds the sheet among the plurality of feeders and/or on the image-forming speed of the image former.

  • Publication number: 20040097199
Abstract: A data communication apparatus as a device. A discrimination data of own device is sent. When the discrimination data is received from another device, the discrimination data is stored as a direct communicatable device for the own device. A direct communicatable device list including the stored discrimination data is generated and sent with the discrimination data of the own device. When the direct communicatable device list is received from other device, the direct communicatable device list is stored as an indirect communicatable device for the own device. In response to selection of the discrimination data as a destination address from the discrimination data of the direct communicatable device and the indirect communicatable device, data with the destination address is sent. When the data is received from other device, the destination address of the received data is decided to coincide with the discrimination data of the own device or the direct communicatable device.

  • Publication number: 20030202812
Abstract: An image processing apparatus is capable of determining the optimal fixing condition taking the local toner distribution (toner density) into consideration from image data. The toner amount is obtained for a local area formed by a marked pixel and the surrounding pixels per color component signal, and the toner amount of each local area is added. Further, over the image data entirely, the toner amount of local area is worked out in plural local areas. Then, a toner amount that indicates the maximum value is acquired from the toner amount of plural local areas. On the bases of the toner amount in the local area that indicates the maximum value and the kind of sheet on which toner is fixed, the fixing speed is controlled optimally.

  • Publication number: 20020114286
Abstract: A communication network construction method comprises the steps of grouping the communication devices belonging to a communication network into one or a plurality of communication groups. In a selection step, one or a plurality of representative devices are selected in each communication group formed in the grouping step. In a communication step, each communication device communicates directly with the communication devices belonging to the same group, and communicates with the communication devices belonging to a different group by first transmitting data to the representative device of the same communication group and then causing the representative device to transfer a part or the whole of the data to the representative device of the different communication group.
