  • Patent number: 9545194
Abstract: An embodiment in accordance with the present invention provides a scope lens cleaning system disposed within a trocar shaft to allow the surgeon to clean the scope lens without losing orientation of the operative field. The lens cleaning system is configured to remove solid debris, liquid, and condensation from the scope lens. The cleaning system includes a first cleaning component configured to remove the solid debris from the scope lens. A second cleaning component is configured to remove the liquid and condensation from the scope lens. A third cleaning component wicks the solid debris and liquid away from the cleaning components and the scope lens and allows it to fall out the end of the trocar shaft. The cleaning system minimizes distraction during the surgical procedure to improve efficiency and safety.

  • Publication number: 20160270775
Abstract: An inflatable retractor for use in laparoscopic surgery of a patient's body includes an inflatable element disposed at a distal end of a retractor shaft. The retractor shaft includes a port for receiving insufflating fluid. The inflatable element includes an inner and outer surface such that the inflatable element forms an angle with the retractor shaft and forms a compartment when the inflatable element is insufflated with fluid. The angle formed between the inflatable element and retractor shaft changes depending upon the insufflating pressure. In this way, the rigidity and shape of the inflatable element is controlled by the surgeon by the amount of insufflating pressure used, allowing for flexibility and ease of use.

  • Patent number: 9445800
Abstract: An inflatable retractor for use in laparoscopic surgery of a patient's body includes an inflatable element disposed at a distal end of a retractor shaft. The retractor shaft includes a port for receiving insufflating fluid. The inflatable element is designed so that different parts of the inflatable element may be filled to different pressure levels. The inflatable element may include separately inflatable chambers. In this way, the rigidity and shape of the inflatable element is controlled by the surgeon, allowing for flexibility and ease of use.

  • Publication number: 20160042080
Abstract: A method for managing user accessed content comprises several steps. First, user accessed content is tracked on one or more computing devices. The user accessed content comprises one or more visited webpages. Next, a database is generated based on the tracked user accessed content. The database is stored on a server, where the server indexes information from the one or more visited webpages. A search phrase is searched for in the database on a certain one of the computing devices. The certain one of the computing devices and the server are connected via a network connection. Search results are transmitted to the certain one of the computing devices via the network connection. The search results are displayed on a display screen of the certain one of the computing devices.

  • Publication number: 20150276681
Abstract: A system for scanning and analyzing a device under test includes a transducer. The transducer transmits ultrasonic waves to scan the device under test and determine various properties (e.g., material of layers). The system further includes a heating/cooling portion. The heating/cooling portion conducts thermal stress testing on the device under test to accentuate areas of delamination between layers. The transducer then performs scans on the device under test to locate areas of delamination.

  • Patent number: 8924840
Abstract: In a system, in one embodiment, having a page server for transmitting pages upon request and a page client (or “web browser”) for requesting pages and presenting those pages to an operator, the page client dynamically identifies links subsequent to the loaded page and preloads pages identified by those links for subsequent presentation to the operator, so that the preloaded pages are preloaded dynamically in response to operator selections and are available for presentation to the operator when ultimately selected. The page server and the page client may act independently or may cooperate so as to dynamically select and preload pages from the page server to the page client using parameters indicated by the page client (such as parameters selected by the operator or adaptively determined by the page client), etc. The page client may dynamically save and recall behavior information about pages to be presented.
