    Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a method, device, apparatus and computer readable medium for sidelink positioning. According to embodiments of the present disclosure, a second device transmits information related to sidelink positioning to a first device. The information indicates that the second device is able to assist with the sidelink positioning and comprises assistance information for the sidelink positioning. The first device selects at least one proper device for the sidelink positioning based on the assistance information. In this way, it improves accuracy of the sidelink positioning.

In some cases, a UE determines a current state of DL traffic and adaptively uses DCP monitoring based on the current state of the traffic. Aggregation level adaptation by the RAN is also discussed.

The key idea of this disclosure is requesting UL resources for positioning measurement report in advance by transmitting a report assisted message. Consequently, the UE can transmit the positioning measurement report just after the measurement data being generated. The disclosure can minimize the delay from positioning measurement data generation to the positioning measurement report.

As such, the receiver is capable of applying an adaptive and adjustable window for receiving different positioning reference signals (PRSs) depending on various conditions and situations. In this way, the PRS measurement performance and the positioning accuracy can be greatly improved.

In some implementations, the edge system and client device are situated in a network such that a latency for the offload communications support real-time video display. A cloud system can maintain a registry of edge systems and provide client devices with information about nearby edge systems. The cloud system can also preload the edge systems with workload resources that correspond to data services.
