    Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods for addressing bank hotspotting are described. A computing system includes a memory controller with an arbiter for determining how to arbitrate access to one or more memory device(s) for received requests. The arbiter categorizes each request in a manner that helps to ensure fair virtual channel distribution across the banks of the memory device(s). The category system includes bank hotspotting functions to give banks that have more requests more chances to go over banks with fewer requests. The category system is implemented proportionally with more category credits given to banks with higher bank depths within the virtual channel.

    Abstract: A blood pump system includes a pump housing and an impeller for rotating in a pump chamber within the housing. The impeller has a first side and a second side opposite the first side. The system includes a stator having drive coils for applying a torque to the impeller and at least one bearing mechanism for suspending the impeller within the pump chamber. The system includes a position control mechanism for moving the impeller in an axial direction within the pump chamber to adjust a size of a first gap and a size of a second gap, thereby controlling a washout rate at each of the first gap and the second gap. The first gap is defined by a distance between the first side and the housing and the second gap is defined by a distance between the second side and the pump housing.

The second bias current is less than the first bias current. When the burst mode signal transitions to be indicative of the burst-off state, the method also includes delivering the first bias current to the anode of the gain-section diode; and delivering the second bias current to the anode of the phase-section diode wherein the first bias current is less than the second bias current.
