  • Publication number: 20020197953
Abstract: On the application page for participating in participation application server PS, as a user applies for participating in a program by using mobile unit MS, participation application server PS determines whether to give the user of the mobile unit MS the right to participate in the program. Then, the “win application” is transmitted to mobile unit MS of users who are allowed to participate, and the “defeat application” is transmitted to the mobile unit MS of users who are not allowed to participate. As a result, an event occurs in mobile unit MS, whereby the program participation page is transmitted to mobile unit MS to which the “win application” was transmitted after the transmission of the “win” application. Finally, the program to be broadcast is changed in accordance with the information inputted by users of mobile unit MS on the program participation page.

  • Publication number: 20020184112
Abstract: A sale notice system wherein goods are sold by a sale notice device (3) based on a purchase request transmitted from a portable communication terminal (2A), and a sale notice device (3) transmits information corresponding to the purchase request, to a portable communication terminal (2B). When the sale notice device (3) receives the purchase request from the portable communication terminal (2A), the sale notice device (3) accesses a member database (31) to obtain settlement information of a user. And, the sale notice device (3) access goods database (32) to decide a purchase price, and transmits a settlement request, including the above information and price, to a settlement organization device (41) in a settlement organization (4). In the case that the settlement request is approved and the settlement is completed at the settlement organization (4), the sale notice device (3) transmits a delivery announcement notice to the portable communication terminal (2B) which a person at a place of delivery owns.

  • Publication number: 20020180579
Abstract: A security system 63 and an electronic group 62 to be stored in a home network 6 are controlled by a home sever 61. A home network management facility 5 obtains status information showing the status of the electronic device group 62 from home server 61 when a user of electronic device group 62 operates a terminal 1 to make a request to home network management facility 5. Next, home network management facility 5 displays a screen for showing the status of electronic device group 62 on a display unit of terminal 1 based on the received status information, generates display information for displaying a screen for prompting input of a control instruction of the home-located electronic devices to the user on the display unit of terminal 1, and transmits the display information to terminal 1. And, home network management facility 5 performs remote control of electronic device group 62 based on the received control instruction via home server 61 when obtaining the control instruction from terminal 1.

  • Publication number: 20020171093
Abstract: To provide a super-junction MOSFET reducing the tradeoff relation between the on-resistance and the breakdown voltage greatly and having a peripheral structure, which facilitates reducing the leakage current in the OFF-state thereof and stabilizing the breakdown voltage thereof. The vertical MOSFET according to the invention includes a drain drift region including a first alternating conductivity type layer; a breakdown withstanding region (peripheral region) including a second alternating conductivity type layer around drain drift region, second alternating conductivity type layer being formed of layer-shaped vertically-extending n-type regions and layer-shaped vertically-extending p-type regions laminated alternately; an n-type region around second alternating conductivity type layer; and a p-type region formed in the surface portion of n-type region to reduce the leakage current in the OFF-state of the MOSFET.

  • Publication number: 20020152091
Abstract: A broadcast from a broadcast station 1 is received by a STB (Set-Top Box) 2. Next, a service request, which is based on the broadcast data received by the STB 2 and personal information stored by a mobile terminal 5, is transferred via a public network 3 to a TMS (Transaction Management System) 4. Information corresponding to this service request (such as coupon data) is transferred via a mobile communication network 6 to the mobile terminal 5. The user of the mobile terminal 5 takes the mobile terminal 5 that stores the coupon data to an available facility 7 and by displaying the coupon data is able to receive a special service corresponding to the coupon.

  • Publication number: 20020137496
Abstract: Provided is a program providing system capable of realizing provision of a program dependent on a user. The program providing system consists mainly of a set-top box STB, an television receiver TV, and a mobile phone MS. The set-top box STB and television receiver TV receive program data broadcasted from a broadcasting station BC and provide a user with a program represented by the program data. The mobile phone MS is accommodated by a mobile communication network MN and has an ID code (identification information), with which a user can be identified, stored in a memory thereof. The mobile phone MS transmits a control signal, to which the ID code is included, to the set-top box STB. The ID code and associated attribute information are stored in the set-top box STB. Upon receipt of a control signal sent from the mobile terminal MS, the set-top box acts according to the attribute information associated with the ID code included in the control signal.

  • Publication number: 20020138830
Abstract: The system of the present invention includes a set-top box 50 that provides programs broadcasted from a broadcast station 40 to users, a monitor 60, and mobile stations 10a through 10c accommodated in a mobile data communication network 20 and store mobile station IDs (identification information) for identifying a user. The mobile stations 10a through 10c transmit control signals including the mobile station IDs for the set-top box 50 to the set-top box 50. The set-top box 50 stores the mobile station IDs and viewing histories of the user and transmits the mobile station IDs and the viewing histories to an audience rating calculating server 70. The audience rating calculating server 70 generates user's attribute-specific audience rating data on the basis of the mobile station IDs and the viewing histories received.

  • Publication number: 20020092024
Abstract: The present invention enables participation of a large number of widely dispersed viewers in an auction program while maintaining a real time feeling of the program. A broadcast station 2 broadcasts program data of a pre-recorded auction program and report information data and EPG data for the information to be reported to the viewers in the program multiplexed as broadcast data. A TMS 3 system receives the broadcast data broadcast from the broadcast station 2 and distributes it to mobile phones 1. When the users of the mobile phones 1 input bids etc. for the auction while viewing the program, the mobile phones 1 transmit input price information to the TMS 3. The TMS 3 transfers the input price information to the broadcast station 2, and the broadcast management server 21 of the broadcast station 2 updates the report information data based on the information.

  • Publication number: 20010028083
Abstract: Disclosed is a semiconductor device facilitating a peripheral portion thereof with a breakdown voltage higher than the breakdown voltage in the drain drift layer without employing a guard ring or field plate. A preferred embodiment includes a drain drift region with a first alternating conductivity type layer formed of n drift current path regions and p partition regions arranged alternately with each other, and a breakdown withstanding region with a second alternating conductivity type layer formed of n regions and p regions arranged alternately with each other, the breakdown withstanding region providing no current path in the ON-state of the device and being depleted in the OFF-state of the device. Since depletion layers expand in both directions from multiple pn-junctions into n regions and p regions in the OFF-state of the device, the adjacent areas of p-type base regions, the outer area of the semiconductor chip and the deep area of the semiconductor chip are depleted.
