Patent number: 5630573Abstract: A fluid-filled vibration isolator includes a hollow, thick-walled, rubber body which opens downwardly, an annular side plate which has an upper part bonded to an outer surface of the rubber body, a bottom plate sealed to a lower end edge of the cylindrical side plate by caulking, a partition, and a rubber diaphragm. Peripheral edges of the partition and the diaphragm are both strongly sandwiched by the lower end edge to define a main fluid chamber between the rubber body and the partition and an auxiliary fluid chamber between the partition and the rubber diaphragm. A lower part of the side plate inclines obliquely and outwardly toward the lower end edges. A peripheral part of the partition bends into an L-shaped cross-section and contacts the obliquely and outwardly inclining lower part to define an annular space having a closed triangular cross-section. The annular space is blocked circumferentially by a projecting wall formed in the partition.Type: GrantFiled: December 7, 1994Date of Patent: May 20, 1997Assignee: Toyoda Gosei Co., Ltd.Inventors: Tatsuo Suzuki, Osamu Nakagaki, Futoshi Namima

The drag strip also has a hanger which extends at a right angle from at least one of opposite ends of the sliding main body into an engagement-member-receiving window of the retainer. On a side edge of the drag strip, where the drag strip is normally maintained in contact with an edge of the engagement-member-receiving window of the inner retainer, the drag strip has an engagement portion engageable with the edge the engagement-member-receiving window. The engagement portion is located in the same plane as the side edge of the hanger. The hanger is maintained in engagement with the retainer by the engagement portion.Type: GrantFiled: July 13, 1995Date of Patent: February 11, 1997Assignee: NSK-Warner K.K.Inventors: Yoshio Kinoshita, Tatsuo Suzuki, Hirobumi Shirataki

Patent number: 5316275Abstract: A hydraulic damping device is provided having a rubber elastic body, a rubber film member closing an opening of the rubber elastic body so as to define a closed chamber, and a partition member dividing the closed chamber into two liquid chambers. A restricted liquid passageway interconnects the two liquid chambers. A cylindrical frame member composed of a resin material having a low coefficient of thermal conductivity is joined to the outer peripheral surface of the rubber elastic body. A support member composed of an aluminum alloy is secured to the outer peripheral surface of the frame member and is connected to an engine. When the support member receives a large amount of heat from the engine, the rubber elastic body is thermally insulated from the support member by virtue of the resin frame member, and accordingly, can be prevented from deteriorating due to the heat of the engine. In addition, by composing the support member of an aluminum alloy, the weight of the device can be reduced.Type: GrantFiled: November 30, 1992Date of Patent: May 31, 1994Assignee: Toyota Gosei Co., Ltd.Inventors: Takashi Maeno, Tatsuo Suzuki

Patent number: 5295671Abstract: A vibration insulating mount is provided having a flanged body. A rubber body covers flanges provided at both ends of the flanged body, thereby defining a lower support and an upper support. A stopping section of an upper case is provided which has a clearance hole. The hole is the same plan shape as the upper support and is slightly larger than the supper support. The mount is constructed so that when the upper case is fixed to the rubber body, postures of the clearance hole and the upper support are conformed. The mount is further constructed so that the upper support may passed through the clearance hole and the upper case 37 can be rotated and fixed to the rubber body 31. Thus, the upper case is prevented from interfering with the upper support, so that the stopping section is disposed between the supports and opposed thereto so as to touch any one of the supports, upon elastic deformation of the rubber body. A method of assembling an insulating mount is also provided.Type: GrantFiled: October 30, 1992Date of Patent: March 22, 1994Assignee: Toyoda Gosei Co., Ltd.Inventors: Osamu Nakagaki, Tatsuo Suzuki

Patent number: 5114004Abstract: Disclosed herein is a filled and sealed, self-contained mixing container. The container has compartments which are isolated from each other. Plural substances which contain components susceptible to mutual reaction unless isolated from each other are contained in the respective compartments. In use, these compartments are communicated together so that the individual contents can be mixed within the container. A flow passage or passages, each of which has an isolator for the contents and is adapted to communicate the compartments with each other, and is formed by a side channel provided on an outer surface of a wall of the container. Mixing of the contents without exposure to the external atmosphere can be realized by irreversible destruction of the isolator upon use. The container is suited particularly for a closed therapy system.Type: GrantFiled: February 12, 1991Date of Patent: May 19, 1992Assignee: Material Engineering Technology Laboratory Inc.Inventors: Keinosuke Isono, Takao Yoshida, Tatsuo Suzuki
