  • Patent number: 6938670
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a supercharger rotor by casting a profile portion of a supercharger rotor and a shaft penetrating the same, having the steps of: first cutting a left and right helical cross portion on a surface of the shaft connected to the profile portion, wherein the cross portion includes a right handed helical groove and a left handed helical groove, and these grooves cross each other; and casting the profile portion around the shaft in die-casting. In this way, a plurality of profile portion divided metal molds surround a profile portion and end metal molds surround both rotor ends. A helical core is attached to one end mold to pass through the profile portion. A rotor-shaped cavity forms inside the molds. Hot metal is pressurized, injected and solidified in the cavity, and the end mold having the helical core is pulled out by rotation along a helical line.

  • Publication number: 20050167497
Abstract: A radio data communication apparatus includes first antennas, modulation circuits, an oscillating circuit, a switch circuit, a memory, and a control circuit. The first antennas perform a one-to-one radio communication with second antennas of IC tags having different communication frequencies. The one-to-one radio communication is carried out based on a resonance frequency uniquely assigned to each one of combinations between the first antennas and the second antennas. The memory stores communication information of each IC tag, including an assigned resonance frequency. The control circuit reads a resonance frequency assigned to a second antenna belonging to a target IC tag, generates the control signal such that the switch circuit selects a specific carrier wave having a frequency substantially equal to the resonance frequency read from the memory, and transmits the specific carrier wave and data to be transmitted in synchronism with each other to a corresponding modulating circuit.

  • Patent number: 6829047
Abstract: A defect detection system to check any defect in the pattern to be checked by comparing a pattern to be checked with a reference pattern includes an edge detection means for detecting a pattern edge of the pattern to be checked by scanning a substrate by laser beams and detecting reflected light thereof. After the relative position between the substrate and the imaging means is adjusted so that the pattern edge of the pattern to be checked is substantially aligned with one side of CCD pixels, an image of the pattern to be checked is picked up. Therefore, the defect detection system corrects misalignment less than one pixel between a pattern to be checked and a reference pattern to prevent occurrence of a false defect.

  • Patent number: 6243095
Abstract: A navigation and display system for digital radiographs comprises one high definition monitor (or two) for viewing digitally acquired images, a video buffer for storing the images to be displayed, and a control console having a graphical user interface (GUI) for controlling the display of the images on the high definition monitor. By storing all of the images to be displayed for a patient study in the video buffer, the images can be selectively displayed in a seemingly instantaneous manner. The GUI displays multiple icons, where each icon represents one of the radiographic images for the patient study in question. A cursor on the GUI is coupled to a mouse, where movement of the mouse controls the location of the cursor with respect to the icons, and hence the image(s) displayed on the high definition monitor. The icons are arranged such that hand movements required to control the mouse correspond to head and eye movements made by radiologists when viewing similar images on hard copy film.

  • Patent number: 6140714
Abstract: A power control apparatus includes a first driven circuit and a second driven circuit connected to the first driven circuit. A primary power-supply circuit produces a primary voltage from a source voltage of a battery and supplies the primary voltage to drive the first driven circuit. A secondary power-supply circuit produces a secondary voltage from the source voltage of the battery or from the primary voltage of the primary power-supply circuit, and supplies the secondary voltage to drive the second driven circuit. A control circuit outputs a power-supply control signal to the secondary power-supply circuit in response to a command signal, so that the supply of the secondary voltage to the second driven circuit by the secondary power-supply circuit is started or terminated by the power-supply control signal.

  • Patent number: 5936947
Abstract: A mobile communication system includes a plurality of radio base stations and mobile stations. The system establishes radio connection between each radio base station and each mobile station by a TDMA-TDD scheme. Each radio base station includes an electric field strength measuring section, a search section, and a transmission timing control section. The electric field strength measuring section measures the reception input voltages of control channels from adjacent radio base stations. The search section searches for a transmission timing corresponding to the reception timing of a control carrier which does not contend with the transmission timings of control carriers in the adjacent radio base stations on the basis of the measurement result obtained by the electric field strength measuring section. The transmission timing control section transmits a carrier signal on the control channel at the searched-out transmission timing. A control channel setting method is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 5739826
Abstract: Image data is processed so that polygons can be displayed on a screen of scanned lines. A first memory stores at least X and Y coordinate data for edge points of the polygons. A second memory stores polygon numbers arranged in a processing order. A first computing unit computes data for sides of each polygon corresponding to each polygon number stored in the second memory. A second computing unit computes edge pair data in accordance with the data for sides of polygons, the edge pair data including a pair of edge points located on the scan lines. A third computing unit computes data for a start point and an end point of each polygon based on the edge pair data. Finally, a processing unit processes the start point and end point data to obtain polygon dot data and outputs the dot data in synchrony with the scan lines.

  • Patent number: 5551019
Abstract: The current methods and systems sort three-dimensional data with a reduced number of buffer memories at an increased speed. Based upon the Z-dimension data, the three-dimensional data is sorted in ascending order via two intermediate tables. Since a first intermediate table holds only one set of unique Z values, when there is a recurrence of Z values, a second intermediate table holds these multiply occurring data. At the end, the contents of these intermediate tables are merged into a single result holding table.

  • Patent number: 5465371
Abstract: In a sorter, reference value data are divided into data of upper and lower digits. The reference value data of the upper digit are sorted by a high sorting processing circuit and are written to a distribution counting memory. A clipping controller judges whether the reference value data of the upper digit written to the distribution counting memory should be clipped or not. No reference value data of the lower digit are sorted with respect to the clipped reference value data of the upper digit. A low sorting processing circuit sorts the reference value data of the lower digit with respect to the unclipped reference value data of the upper digit. This sorter can perform sorting processing at a high speed by a simplified structure when three-dimensional clipping processing is performed.
