  • Publication number: 20090301068
Abstract: A NOx catalyst is provided in an exhaust passage of an internal combustion engine for selectively purifying NOx in exhaust gas with a reducing agent. A charging unit charges the reducing agent at an upstream of the NOx catalyst. A pressurizing unit supplies the reducing agent to the charging unit. An obtaining unit detects or estimates catalyst temperature of the NOx catalyst or temperature information, which is correlated with the catalyst temperature. A particle size control unit changes reducing-agent pressure of reducing agent, which is pressurized by the pressurizing unit and supplied to the charging unit, to control an atomized particle size of the reducing agent, which is atomized from the charging unit and charged into exhaust gas, based on the catalyst temperature or the temperature information.

  • Patent number: 7547918
Abstract: An auxiliary line including a guide layer and an auxiliary metallic member is formed with respect to a signal transmitting line or a main auxiliary capacitance line formed on a glass substrate. The guide layer is formed in the same layer where pixel electrodes are formed. The auxiliary metallic member is formed by using a method such as an inkjet method, in which fine particles of metal is ejected or dropped.

  • Publication number: 20090120073
Abstract: An exhaust pipe is provided with an oxidation catalyst, a SCR catalyst (ammonia selective reduction catalyst), and an ammonia slip catalyst. In the exhaust pipe, the urea water adding valve is provided between the oxidation catalyst and the SCR catalyst. A NOx sensor which detects the NOx quantity in an exhaust gas is provided downstream of the SCR catalyst. An ECU controls the urea water adding valve to add the urea water to the exhaust gas. While the urea water is added to the exhaust gas, the ECU successively obtains a NOx sensor output, and computes an adding quantity command value in which the NOx sensor output becomes minimum.

  • Publication number: 20090000279
Abstract: In an addition-amount controller for an exhaust gas purifying agent to be used for an exhaust emission control system of an engine, one mode is executed based on satisfaction of an execution condition for each mode, from among a plurality of control modes. The control modes includes a purification control mode in which an addition amount of NH3 or an additive serving as a generating source of the NH3 is determined according to a predetermined parameter associated with an amount of NOx in the exhaust gas, and a storage control mode in which the addition amount is set to be larger than that in the purification control mode. When a load on an output shaft of the engine is higher than an allowable level, the execution condition of the storage control mode is determined to be satisfied.

  • Publication number: 20070246028
Abstract: An exhaust recirculation apparatus is provided to an engine. A high-pressure EGR passage branches from upstream of a turbine of a turbocharger in an exhaust system for recirculating exhaust gas to downstream of a compressor of the turbocharger in an intake system. A high-pressure EGR regulating unit controls exhaust gas through the high-pressure EGR passage. A low-pressure EGR passage branches from downstream of the turbine in the exhaust system for recirculating exhaust gas to upstream of the compressor in the intake system. A low-pressure EGR regulating unit controls exhaust gas through the low-pressure EGR passage. A control unit feedback-controls the high-pressure EGR regulating unit, and open-controls the low-pressure EGR regulating unit when exhaust gas is recirculated through the high-pressure EGR passage and the low-pressure EGR passage. The control unit feedback-controls the low-pressure EGR regulating unit when exhaust gas is recirculated through only the low-pressure EGR passage.

  • Publication number: 20070154756
Abstract: An output limitation warning lamp is turned on when a possible output Qf of the fuel cell is less than a predetermined value L2. The output limitation warning lamp is provided at a combination meter in an instrument panel. The output limitation warning lamp is also turned on when a possible output Qb of the secondary battery is less than a predetermined value L3. Furthermore, the output limitation warning lamp is also turned on when an allowable drive output Qh, which is the sum of the possible output Qf of the fuel cell and the possible output Qb of the secondary battery, has been less than a required output Ed* calculated at a step before carrying out output limitation to more than a certain extent for longer than a predetermined length of time.

  • Publication number: 20070089708
Abstract: In a system, an actuator is linked to a valve rotatably installed in a passage through which gas flows. The actuator changes torque to be applied to the valve so as to adjust a rotational position of the valve based on a deviation between a current position and a target position. In the system, a first storing unit stores therein a first threshold. The first threshold is defined in a variation range within which a torque parameter is variable depending on change in the torque to be applied to the valve. The first threshold allows whether there is a possibility that an operation of the actuator is unstable. If the torque parameter substantially shifts either to or through the first threshold in the variation range, a restricting unit restricts variation in the torque parameter with the gas-flow being substantially kept through the passage.

  • Patent number: 7205640
Abstract: In an inverse-stagger MOSFET (1), a gate insulating layer (4) made of amorphous aluminum oxide is so formed as to face a channel layer (5) which serves as the semiconductor layer, and which is made of zinc oxide. With this arrangement, a defect level at an interface between the channel layer (5) and the gate insulating layer (4) is reduced, thereby obtaining performance equivalent to that of a semiconductor apparatus in which all the layered films are crystalline. This technique is applicable to a staggered MOSFET and the like, and has high versatility.

  • Patent number: 7198039
Abstract: A valve control device corrects a change rate of an opening degree of a valve in accordance with engine rotation speed when deposit elimination operation is performed. The valve control device corrects an inclination between a positive maximum opening degree and a negative maximum opening degree of the valve in accordance with the engine rotation speed when the deposit elimination operation is performed. Thus, when the engine rotation speed is low and a noise accompanying the deposit elimination operation becomes more audible, the change rate of the opening degree of the valve is reduced. As a result, the noise accompanying the deposit elimination operation is reduced and annoyance for vehicle occupants is reduced.

  • Patent number: 7074005
Abstract: An intermediate guide member is provided attachable and removable between a head portion and a supporting frame of a stocker for printing plates. A number of intermediate guide members is an element to set a time of starting downward movement of hooks supporting a leading end of a printing plate. Three conditions in accordance with lengths of non-detection times are set for detecting the printing plate to judge authenticity of the detection. When the hooks reach vicinities of stoppers provided at supporting bars of a reversal unit, the hooks swing, are pulled-in from above the slope, and transfer the printing plate to the stoppers. Thereafter, by rotating the supporting bars and the stoppers integrally around a shaft, the printing plate is pivoted over toward a back plate, and a lower end of the printing plate is transferred from the stoppers to a receiving plate without damaging the printing plate.
