The method includes: receiving from the terminal, a provisioning setup request message including information about a size of rights to be installed in the memory card; checking whether there is a space in the memory card for the rights; transmitting, to the terminal, a provisioning setup response message including a status indicating a result of processing the provisioning setup request message; and receiving, from the terminal, a rights provisioning request message for installing the rights into the memory card, the rights provisioning request message including rights information. The rights information is based on rights being extracted from a RO response message if a device identifier (ID) in the RO response message matches an ID of the memory card which is different from an ID of the terminal.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for transferring a Rights Object (RO) for a content between devices via a server, wherein a sending device converts a first RO taken by itself to encode into a second RO, and sends an RO move request message including the second RO to the server, whereas the server converts the second RO included in the RO move request message into a third RO and transfers the third RO to a receiving device, whereby the receiving device receives the third RO from the server for installation, wherein the sending device deletes or modifies the first RO at an appropriate time point.

Abstract: A method for sharing Rights Object (RO) of a specific DRM content resident in a certain device with different devices (or terminals) in a Digital Rights Management (DRM) system, in which a first device and a second device can share an RO for DRM content by performing a mutual authentication between the first device and the second device to set a session therebetween; creating, by the first device, a second RO for the second device; and transferring the second RO from the first device to the second device through a particular interface. Thereby, while the first device consumes a specific DRM content with employing the first RO, the second device simultaneously consumes the specific DRM content with the second RO transferred from the first device.

Abstract: A digital rights management (DRM) method and system between devices are discussed. In order to allow a first device connected with a second device to use a rights object (RO) bound to the second device, the second device decodes the particular content or the RO and transmits the decoded particular content or the decoded RO to the first device. State information of the RO according to a usage amount of the particular content used by the first device is managed by the second device.

Abstract: Commands for device management to be executed within a terminal and threshold-based conditions for executing such commands included within a scheduling context are provided to the terminal ahead of time. Therefore, the terminal can perform the commands for device management, before errors occurs within the terminal since a value of a particular management object reaches the threshold.

Abstract: For achieving device management, the terminal may select certain command execution results and transmit such to the network instead of always sending all command execution results. Accordingly, resources of the terminal and radio communication resources can be more efficiently utilized when compared to previously used device management procedures. Furthermore, since a record that is relevant to operations performed within the terminal is saved, even if a certain result of executing a particular command is not successfully transmitted to the network due to an error, the network may still be able to verify the command execution result by accessing the record that was stored in the terminal.

Meanwhile, according to the present invention, a routing service is provided between elements within the terminal, so that the elements within the terminal can be separated.
