Abstract: A digital rights management (DRM) method and system between devices are disclosed. In order to allow a first device connected with a second device to use a rights object (RO) bound to the second device, the second device decodes the particular content or the RO and transmits the decoded particular content or the decoded RO to the first device. State information of the RO according to a usage amount of the particular content used by the first device is managed by the second device.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a DM system and a method for setting configuration values in the same. The DM system includes: a server for generating configuration values for a predetermined resource of a terminal, transmitting the configuration values and a reconfiguration parameter to the terminal through a DM session, and requesting the terminal to set the configuration values; and the terminal for receiving the configuration values and the reconfiguration parameter, and setting the configuration values in the resource according to the reconfiguration parameter, the terminal being operated according to the configuration values. As a result, the server can generate the configuration values and transmit the configuration values to the terminal, and the terminal can directly apply the configuration values from the server.

Abstract: A device management (DM) method and a device management (DM) client use a node having an additional attribute. The DM client includes a node having a common attribute indicating attribute information that is common to every node and an additional attribute indicating attribute information of each node. The DM method includes: receiving a node generation command; and generating a node having a common attribute indicating attribute information that is common to every node and an additional attribute indicating attribute information of each node according to the node generation command.

Abstract: A device management (DM) system using a log management object and a method for effectively generating and controlling logging data in the system are disclosed. A DM server includes only information that a client can transfer processing of a corresponding command to a logging sub-tree manager in the logging data storage command and transmits it, and an accurate location at which the logging data is to be stored is determined by the logging sub-tree manager by itself by using control information of the logging sub-tree upon receiving the logging data storage command. Each node storing the logging data has a source attribute value and a reason attribute value. Accordingly, the DM server or a scheduling context does not involve in a complicate logging data storage procedure, and when logged node is checked, the particulars of the logged data can be easily recognized.

Abstract: A method and system for managing at least one DRM agent intending to join or leave a user domain in a Digital Rights Management (DRM) is provided, in which a Domain Enforcement Agent (DEA) manages the joining and leaving of the DRM agent resident in a home network it manages, and a Domain Authority (DA) provides a domain key to a DRM agent joining the user domain.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method for sharing Rights Object (RO) of a specific DRM content resident in a certain device with different devices (or terminals) in a Digital Rights Management (DRM) system, wherein a first device and a second device can share RO for DRM content by performing a mutual authentication between the first device and the second device to set a session therebetween; creating, by the first device, a second RO for the second device; and transferring the second RO from the first device to the second device through a particular interface. Thereby, while the first device consumes a specific DRM content with employing the first RO, the second device simultaneously consumes the specific DRM content with the second RO transferred from the first device.

Abstract: A method for managing a specific domain (or user domain), for example leaving the domain by a specific device after fully returning a Rights Object (RO) taken by the specific device, instead of deactivating the RO, when leaving the specific domain, the method in which the device desiring to leave the specific domain moves its RO to another device desiring to join the specific domain and thereafter leaves the specific domain under the control of a Domain Authority/Domain Enforcement Agent (DA/DEA).

Abstract: An apparatus and method for transferring a Rights Object (RO)for a content between devices via a server, wherein a sending device converts a first RO taken by itself to encode into a second RO, and sends an RO move request message including the second RO to the server, whereas the server converts the second RO included in the RO move request message into a third RO and transfers the third RO to a receiving device, whereby the receiving device receives the third RO from the server for installation, wherein the sending device deletes or modifies the first RO at an appropriate time point.

Abstract: For achieving device management, the terminal may select certain command execution results and transmit such to the network instead of always sending all command execution results. Accordingly, resources of the terminal and radio communication resources can be more efficiently utilized when compared to previously used device management procedures. Furthermore, since a record that is relevant to operations performed within the terminal is saved, even if a certain result of executing a particular command is not successfully transmitted to the network due to an error, the network may still be able to verify the command execution result by accessing the record that was stored in the terminal.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method and apparatus for managing rights object of SRM in a digital rights management system. The method for managing rights object bound to the SRM, comprises: transmitting ROAP trigger from a rights issuer to a terminal; transmitting an RO request message from the terminal to the rights issuer and transmitting a response message to the RO request message from the rights issuer to the terminal; and transmitting the rights object included in the response message from a DRM agent of the terminal to a DRM agent of the SRM and installing the rights object in the SRM. Abstract: A paging indicator deciding method of a mobile communication terminal in which a threshold value for deciding a paging indicator is variably set according to a SNR of a pilot channel. If the SNR of the pilot channel is in a range that a false alarm rate (FAR) has a large value, the mobile terminal determines a threshold value so that it can have the greatest value in a range that a miss probability (MP) does not exceed the standard value. If the SNR of the pilot channel is not in the range that the SNR has the large value, the mobile terminal determines a threshold value to obtain the smallest MP in a range that the FAR is not further increased.
