  • Patent number: 8827782
Abstract: An unload auger assembly for a combine harvester includes a drive coupler configured between adjacent first and second auger segments. The coupler includes a driver component and associated driver cog coupled to the first auger segment. A driven component and associated driven cog is coupled to the second auger segment. The driven cog is rotationally engaged by the driver cog to transmit rotational drive from the first auger segment to the second auger segment. A friction clutch is configured in-line between the driver component and driven component and rotationally couples the driver component to the driven up to a release torque value wherein the friction clutch disengages the driver component from the driven component.

  • Patent number: 8077967
Abstract: The continuity of at least one image characteristic, such as color, is maintained through image creation, processing and distribution by correlating that characteristic to a frame of reference. During a first processing operation such as image capture, an initial image decision list is generated indicative of at least a one change in at least one characteristic of an image adjusted during that operation. At the completion of that operation, the image is transformed to emulate a film print that serves as the reference for subsequent operations. In this way, the initial image decision list can be modified list to further adjust of the at least one characteristic of the image using the emulated film print during a second image processing operation.

  • Patent number: 7592736
Abstract: A permanent magnet electric generator includes a housing, and a stator and a rotor assembly disposed inside the housing. The rotor assembly has annular inner and outer rings concentric with the axis of rotation. A plurality of permanent magnets is distributed on the inner surface of the outer ring. The stator assembly includes a plurality of stator blocks configured to form an annular ring-shaped stator member. The stator member is concentric with the axis of rotation and is interposed between the inner and outer rings such that the outer ring circumferentially encircles the stator member. The stator member is wound with a three-phase winding for a three-phase voltage output.

Abstract: A permanent magnet electric generator includes a housing, and a stator and a rotor assembly disposed inside the housing. The rotor assembly is concentric with an axis of rotation. The rotor assembly has annular inner and outer rings concentric with the axis of rotation. The rotor assembly is adapted to be rotationally coupled to a shaft. The shaft is rotationally coupled to a source of rotational energy for rotating the rotor assembly. A plurality of permanent magnets are distributed on the inner surface of the outer ring. Each magnet has a north pole and a south pole aligned to the axis of rotation such that adjacent magnets have poles of alternating polarity. The permanent magnets are distributed circumferentially on the inner surface of the outer ring and in close proximity to the stator blocks. The stator assembly is at a static location with respect to and in close proximity to the rotor assembly.

  • Patent number: 6425933
Abstract: Organic fertilizer produced from raw manure, and systems and methods related to the production thereof. A high-velocity air stream is injected into at least one substantially-closed chamber, where it interacts with a supply of raw manure; the raw manure can be bovine or other animal waste products. The high-velocity air stream pulverizes and dries the raw manure, whereby an end product having a moisture content substantially less than the initial moisture content and a live bacteria content substantially equal to the initial live bacteria content of the raw manure is produced. In a preferred embodiment, a cyclonic comminution apparatus is used to pulverize and dry the raw manure; alternatively, a first cyclonic comminution apparatus can be used to substantially pulverize the raw manure and a second cyclonic comminution apparatus can be used to substantially dry the raw manure.

  • Patent number: 6415644
Abstract: A universal calibration apparatus for use with an ultrasonic transducer is described. The calibration apparatus is fabricated from an elongate block of metal. The calibration apparatus includes a first portion having a first curved section, located at a first end of the apparatus, and a second curved section adjacent the first curved section. The first curved section having a thickness less than the thickness of the second curved section. The calibration apparatus also includes a second portion, located adjacent to the first portion, that includes a flat elongate section having a plurality of calibration holes extending therethrough and a plurality of scribe lines located on a first surface. The calibration apparatus further includes a third portion, located at a second end, that includes a plurality of step sections and a plurality of notches. The notches extend from a first edge to a second edge of the apparatus. Each step section has a different thickness from the other step sections.
