  • Publication number: 20030221543
Abstract: An electronic musical instrument according to the invention stores a difference tone identifying table which associates musical sounds of different pitches with a difference tone perceived from the musical sounds of different pitches. Receiving an instruction to simultaneously produce musical sounds of different pitches, the electronic musical instrument extracts a difference tone corresponding to the musical sounds of different pitches from the difference tone identifying table and generates then outputs a sound signal corresponding to the extracted difference tone and the musical sounds of different pitches.

  • Publication number: 20030167710
Abstract: In the floor base panel (40), an area on the support board (33) of the vibration proof support leg (30) is formed solid, and in the other area, a plurality of cavities (41) extending in the parallel direction to the floor surface are formed. Thereby, because the vibration energy propagated from the impact point of the floor base panel (40) is reflected on the boundary between the cavity formation area and the sold area, and repeatedly passes the cavity formation area, it is attenuated in a short time, and the vibration energy or sound energy transmitted to a slab (20) can be reduced.

  • Publication number: 20030158758
Abstract: An insurance descriptions adjusting system for properly setting an insurance premium. The system comprises an insurance descriptions adjusting method and device, a status data acquiring terminal device, an advice responding terminal device, and advice device, an insurance descriptions adjusting program, a status data acquiring program, an advice responding program, an advice program, and a computer-readable recording medium for recording those programs. Insurance descriptions determined based on a status data describing a state of an insured object are adjusted by using a level of enthusiasm shown by an insurance contractor towards the reacquisition of the status data and a level of enthusiasm shown by the insurance contractor in reducing the risk of an insured object. Accordingly, a proper insurance premium is set for an insured object whose future risks are likely to go lower.

  • Patent number: 6590994
Abstract: Speaker includes a diaphragm, and a linear vibrating device attached to a peripheral portion of the diaphragm. The linear vibrating device includes a conductor line meandering in a wave-like shape along the surface of the diaphragm, and magnets disposed in opposed relation to the conductor line. The magnets are disposed in regions surrounded by adjoining mountain portions and adjoining valley portions of the conductor line. The magnets are arranged in such a manner that every adjoining magnets have their magnetic poles of opposite polarities located close to the conductor line.

  • Publication number: 20020049684
Abstract: A medical checkup network system comprises a patient terminal for measuring the biodata of each patient including a blood pressure and a body temperature, a doctor terminal for allowing the medical staff to view the biodata of each patient for diagnosis and enter a medical support data including a schedule data and an advice data, and a center server for storing the data received from the those terminals. They are connected to each other over a communication network such as the Internet. In the system, the biodata of each patient stored in the center server can be registered and viewed by any of the patient terminal, the doctor terminal, the patient and the medical staff which have been registered in the center server. The system can thus protect the privacy of each patient about the biodata and permit the biodata of each patient to be shared by two or more members of the medical staff.

  • Publication number: 20020017426
Abstract: Sound radiating structure includes a plurality of pipes each defining an inner cavity along the length of the pipe. Each of the pipes has an end opening at one end and is closed at the other end with a closure. Each of the pipes also has a side opening in its one side portion. When a sound is input to the sound radiating structure, it re-radiates various sound waves through a number of the end and side openings together with reflected sound waves.

  • Patent number: 4351999
Abstract: A microcomputer-controlled microwave oven including key switch inputs and voice synthesizer for conveying information to a user. The synthesizer is used in connection with a data input program to aid the user in inputting data via the key switches to avert errors in inputting data that may result in over-heating of food or a fire inside the oven's heating chamber.

  • Patent number: 4335293
Abstract: A heating control apparatus in microwave ovens controls heating of food by detecting water vapor generated by heating a food to sense a varying relative humidity by a humidity sensor and determining a critical point of the heating condition of the food by detecting a time point when the relative humidity rises from a minimum value beyond a predetermined threshold value thereby to determine a proper total heating time of the food. To allow accurate humidity sensing, a cleaning device is provided in proximity to the humidity sensor such that the cleaning device is actuated for an appropriate time period at a proper timing to insure proper performance of the humidity sensor.

  • Patent number: 4097707
Abstract: Apparatus for controlling heating time for food placed in a cooking apparatus such as a microwave oven in which heating time required for the humidity of the food which varies with the heating of the food to reach a representative humidity value after abrupt change with a positive gradient is measured, and the product of the measured heating time multiplied by a predetermined heating time coefficient which is inherent in the particular food is added to the measured heating time so that the sum represents the total required heating time for the food.
