  • Patent number: 7267986
Abstract: According to the present invention, an inorganic phosphoric acid is detected by a method which includes: subjecting a sample to a measurement system containing glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate, oxidized nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide or oxidized nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate, glyceraldehyde phosphate dehydrogenase, and an electron mediator; and measuring a current value in the measurement system. In the method, a pyrophosphate is quantitatively measured with high sensitivity and at a high speed through converting the pyrophosphate in a sample into an inorganic phosphoric acid. Such a measurement of a pyrophosphate allows for quantitative determination of the pyrophosphate which is produced concurrent with the extension of a DNA, thereby enabling the detection of the presence of a targeted nucleic acid, and typing of a base in a SNP site of a targeted DNA.

  • Publication number: 20070003437
Abstract: A liquid delivery apparatus 1 has a rotary substrate 2. The substrate 2 formed with a fluid passage 8A for communicating a supply chamber 6A and target chamber 7A. An inlet end portion 13 at which the fluid passage 8A is connected to the chamber 6A extends in a clockwise direction R1 of rotational directions of the substrate 2. The inlet end portion 13 holds a liquid 9 in the chamber 6A by a capillary force. The rotation drive unit 4 rotates the substrate 2 so that an inertial force exceeding the capillary force and directed to the clockwise direction R1 acts on the liquid 9 in the inlet end portion 13. Delivery behavior control of microfluid with a high degree of flexibility can be achieved.

  • Publication number: 20060292663
Abstract: A new electrochemical measurement method is provided that is excellent in accuracy in detecting LDH activity in a serum sample and shortens the time required for the detection. The method of measuring lactate dehydrogenase activity in serum includes: a first step (S1) of adding at least lactic acid, a coenzyme of a lactate dehydrogenase, and an electron mediator to a first serum sample that contains the lactate dehydrogenase to prepare a second serum sample; a second step (S2) of removing molecules whose molecular weights are 30000 or higher, preferably molecules whose molecular weights are 10000 or higher from the second serum sample to prepare a third serum sample; and a third step (S3) of measuring a value of current that is generated by applying voltage to the third serum sample.

  • Publication number: 20060292032
Abstract: A fluid chip has a liquid support 25 for supporting a liquid 24, a fluid passage 22 formed by being surrounded by the liquid support 25 and through which the liquid 24 moves, and a plurality of magnetic particles 21 disposed in the fluid passage 24. The magnetic particles 21 are aggregated by a permanent magnet 23 so as to block the fluid passage 22 and thus cut off flow of the liquid 24. The magnetic particles 21 are dispersed along a part of a wall of the fluid passage 22 so as to open the fluid passage 22 and thus allow the liquid 24 to flow.
