  • Patent number: 6200706
Abstract: The object of the present invention is to provide a nonwoven fabric for separators of non-aqueous electrolyte batteries which is superior in adhesion to electrodes, causes no breakage of the separator and neither slippage nor space between electrode and the separator at the time of fabrication of battery, provides superior battery processability such as rollability with electrodes, causes no internal short-circuit due to contact between electrodes caused by shrinking or burning of the nonwoven fabric even when electrodes generate heat owing to external short-circuit, whereby ignition of the battery can be inhibited, has no pin holes and is superior in retention of electrolyte and penetration of electrolyte, and which can give non-aqueous electrolyte batteries superior in capacity, battery characteristics and battery storage characteristics.

  • Patent number: 5891811
Abstract: The present invention is concerned with an indicator material which is obtained by impregnating a non-woven fabric, of which one surface is provided with a resin layer having a partly or wholly colored surface, with a volatile oily substance used as an active ingredient in a deodorant, an aromatic agent, an anti-fungal agent or a mothproofing agent, and which is used for showing the degree of dissipation of the oily substance which occurs with the passage of time, based on the shifting of the resin layer observable from the non-woven fabric side from a visible state to a state masked by the non-woven fabric, the indicator material overcoming a failure of conventional indicator materials containing non-woven fabrics in relatively clearly showing the degree of the oily substance with the passage of time, by using a non-woven fabric containing a fine-denier fiber having a size of 2 denier or less or by using a non-woven fabric having a partly altered density.

  • Patent number: 4870001
Abstract: Blocking between emulsion layer and backcoating layer and haze of the emulsion surface which often occur when silver halide photographic papers are stored in the form of a roll or a stack can be avoided or reduced by providing a silver halide photographic paper comprising a support coated with a resin on both sides where the surface roughness of the resin layer provided on the side where emulsion layer is not present is within the range of 0.7-2.5 .mu. in terms of center line average height Ra according to JIS B0601. This effect is conspicuous in reduction of blocking and haze which severely occur in the photographic paper where the developer is contained in the photographic layer.
