  • Patent number: 7040649
Abstract: An interior finish member having a door for an air bag includes a main body and a cover. The main body surrounds the periphery of the cover, and the main body and the cover form a continuous surface. The cover covers a folded air bag. The cover includes: a door, which covers the folded air bag. A breakable portion is defined by a recessed periphery of the door and is relatively thin. A hinge connects the door with the main body and provides a pivot around which the door pivots under a force of an expanding air bag. The main body is made of thermoplastic resin, and the cover is made of thermoplastic elastomer. The main body and the cover portion can be integrally formed.

  • Patent number: 7007081
Abstract: A communication section of computer peripheral equipment connected to a network is disconnected from the network. A current network setup value set in the communication section is saved in a first storage section. A fixed network setup value stored in a second storage section is set in the communication section. By using the fixed network setup value, a maintenance operator, for example, uses a computer having an installed maintenance tool to communicate with the communication section, and thus performs maintenance of the peripheral equipment.

  • Publication number: 20030209890
Abstract: An interior finish member having a door suitable for an air bag comprises a main body and a cover portion. The main body surrounds the periphery of the cover portion, and the main body and the cover portion form a continuous surface. The cover portion covers a folded air bag of an air bag device. The cover portion comprises: a door portion which covers the folded air bag; a breakable portion defined by a recessed periphery of the door portion whose thickness is thinner than adjacent portions of the interior finish member so that it may be broken easily in deployment of the air bag; and a hinge portion for connecting the door portion with the main body and for providing a pivot around which the door portion rotates when the door portion opens under a force of an expanding air bag. The main body is made of thermoplastic resin, and the cover portion is made of thermoplastic elastomer. Because they are capable of thermally fusing with each other, the main body and the cover portion can be integrally formed.

  • Patent number: 6641194
Abstract: A vehicle exterior component includes an unwoven fabric having a noise absorbing function and an additional layer attached to the unwoven fabric. The unwoven fabric includes main fibers and binder fibers. The melting point of the binder fibers is lower than that of the main fibers. The unwoven fabric further includes a mesh structure in which the main fibers and the binder fibers are intertwined and welded to each other. The mesh structure is obtained by pressing a fiber web in which the main fibers and the binder fibers are intertwined. The unwoven fabric is formed into a predetermined outer shape. The additional layer has a function other than the noise absorbing function.

  • Patent number: 6370344
Abstract: When a user stands in front of an image forming apparatus, sets originals on an ADF, and depresses a start key, a central control unit effects issuance of a print job, which is to be executed subsequent to a scanner job, on a print control order management table. Then, if print data is sent from a client to the image forming apparatus via an external controller, the central control unit issues as a second print job the print request from the client because the first print job was issued on the print control order management table. The central control unit does not operate a printer unit until the original reading operation by the ADF is finished. The moment the original reading operation by the ADF is finished, the central control unit executes printing by the printer unit on the basis of the read original data. After completing printing of all original data read by the ADF, the central control unit starts the print job sent from the client.

  • Patent number: 6004498
Abstract: A resin part such as an instrument panel, a console box or door trim has a substrate body made of hard resin and a skin mounted on a surface of the substrate. To produce the resin part, a preformed elastic sheet is set within a mold cavity. Then, a molten resin is injected into the cavity through gates. The molten resin is first injected into the cavity through gates that are opposed to the skin and after the passage of a predetermined time, the resin is injected through gates that are not opposed to the skin, thereby forming a substrate that has the skin thermally fused to a surface thereof.
