    Abstract: A fluid-filled type vibration damping device including a resin bracket provided on an outside peripheral face of a second mounting member. The resin bracket includes a mating portion mated within a mating groove of the second mounting member opening in an outside peripheral face of the second mounting member, a mating tubular portion extending on the outside peripheral face of the second mounting member from the mating portion to one axial side, and a mounting portion which is formed at a distal end portion of the mating tubular portion on the one axial side and extends peripherally outward. A weight reducing space opens at a distal end face of the mating tubular portion on the one axial side while extending between an inside peripheral face of the mating tubular portion and the outside peripheral face of the second mounting member in a circumferential direction.

The second mount member and the partition member have brittle portions 45, 46 which are deformed or broken when a load En is applied thereto from a direction which intersects with an axial direction of the vehicular fluid sealed engine mount at right angles.

    Abstract: A friction stir welding apparatus and a method of operating the friction stir welding apparatus are disclosed. The friction stir welding apparatus includes a rotary tool whose extremity constitutes a probe, a retaining arm which supports the rotary tool, and a roller provided at a position of the retaining arm opposite the rotary tool. The method includes adjusting the retaining arm so as to position workpieces between the rotary tool and the roller while adjusting the roller to turn in a direction where a joint line of the workpieces extends, rotating the rotary tool and lowering the probe until the probe presses the workpieces, gradually inserting the probe into the joint line, and moving the probe along the joint line.

    Abstract: To decrease dimensions in the axial direction by dispensing with a stopper while making the control of a value of spring constant easy in the axial direction of a sub-frame mount and in the direction meeting at right angles therewith, an inner cylinder 3 is arranged inside of an outer cylinder which is formed in a substantially cylindrical shape by having a pair of half bodies arranged in an opposed relationship, and a vibration isolating rubber is adapted to connect between the outer cylinder and the inner cylinder. Slits are formed on side walls of the vibration isolating rubber along slits dividing the outer cylinder. Projecting portions are provided on the inner peripheral wall of the outer cylinder to project toward the inner cylinder. The outer cylinder and tips are formed concentrically and a radius of curvature R1 of the inner peripheral wall of the outer cylinder is smaller than a radius of curvature R3 of the opposed outer peripheral wall of the inner cylinder.

These mounts are disposed at a position higher than a position of the center of gravity of the power unit. Spring axis lines of the power-source side mount and the speed-reduction-gear side mount are inclined to intersect with each other at a position higher than the position of the center of gravity of the power unit when the vehicle is viewed from the front. An elastic center of the entire power unit supporting apparatus is located at a position lower than the position of the center of gravity of the power unit.

A shunt hole of smaller cross-sectional area than the orifice passage and the communication hole is formed in a bottom wall so that the pressure receiving chamber and the equilibrium chamber communicate through the shunt hole in the dead water region.

    Abstract: The object of the present invention is to prevent damages of a vibration isolating rubber and cracks in a welded portion of a sub-frame when press-fitting a sub-frame mount. The sub-frame mount 1 comprises an outer cylinder 2, an inner cylinder 2 and the vibration isolating rubber 4 connecting these outer and inner cylinders. A small diameter portion 10 and a large diameter portion 11 are provided on a lateral wall of a barrel portion of the outer cylinder 2. Between the small diameter portion 10 and the large diameter portion 11 is formed a step-like boundary portion 12. The height in the axial direction of the boundary portion 12 changes in the circumferential direction and has a substantially mountain-like shape with a top 12a projecting in the press fitting direction. A contact area of the large diameter portion 11 contacting a mounting hole 21 of the sub-frame 20 is increased in accordance with an amount of the press fitting.
