  • Patent number: 5088020
Abstract: Disclosed is a pivotal movement control device for a boom-equipped working machine provided with a pivotal movement control responsive to the inclined angle of a control lever and a position detector for detecting the moved position of a boom in a lateral direction. The device includes a changeover switch for changing between an automatic mode and a manual mode, an automatic target position stop control for storing a signal from the position detector as a target stop position when the changeover switch is changed from the manual mode to the automatic mode and pivotally moving the boom to the target stop position and stopping it there while reading a positional signal from the position, when the boom is at a position other than the target stop position and the control lever is operated to the side of the target stop position.

  • Patent number: 5084857
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of recording on a rewritable recording medium using a laser beam capable of producing at least three discreet levels of power. The three levels of power used for writing to the recording medium is greater than the power required for reading. The present method is unique in that the power level of the laser beam is modulated between high, intermediate, and low levels over a time period so that at least three discreet power levels are radiated to the recording medium during recording. The increment of the radiation energy of the upward pulse from the intermediate level toward the high level is within the range of 0.8 to 1.2 times the decrement of the radiation energy of the downward pulse from the intermediate level to the low level. The present invention provides high density recording capability with minimum non-erasure areas even when the recording medium is formed from a high velocity crystallization (high speed erasure).

  • Patent number: 5038338
Abstract: A method of recording information by changing a recording medium through irradiation with an energy beam such as a light beam, electron beam or the like. A single pulse or a plurality of pulses are employed for forming recorded dots. The pulse has a pulse width shorter than a time required for the center of energy beam spot to move from one to other end of the dot upon recording thereof. By virtue of the possibility of reversible change even in a recording film susceptible to high rate speed of change, the rate of information transfer can be increased. Overwrite recording can also be accomplished with the single laser beam. An increased amount of information can be handled in the recording and reproduction.

  • Patent number: 4982396
Abstract: An information recording method and apparatus therefor utilizes an information recording medium having a recording film enabling reversible phase change. The information recording medium is irradiated with an energy beam while relatively moving the information recording medium and the energy beam so as to at least enable recording of information in accordance with phase state changes of the recording film caused by irradiation of the energy beam. The energy beam is modulated so that an intensity of the energy beam obtains a first level having a high power for one portion of coded data information to be recorded, obtains a second level different from the first level for a predetermined time for another portion of the coded data information, and then again obtains the first level to enable recording of the coded data information independently of a previous recording state on the information recording medium.

  • Patent number: 4817053
Abstract: An electron beam memory system in which a phase transition type recording film is used as an information recording medium, and for recording information, a focused electron beam is selectively projected on desired positions of the recording film so as to locally heat the recording film and cause phase transition, while for retrieving information, an electron beam having energy at a degree not causing the phase transition is projected so as to utilize the fact that reflection or diffraction of the primary electron beam projected at the retrieval differs between the recorded regions and unrecorded regions.

  • Patent number: 4806952
Abstract: In an information recording apparatus according to this invention, since it is not necessary to dispose any differential circuit, which was required heretofore, it is possible to fabricate it with a low cost and its error rate is also very small.Furthermore, since the mean reflectivity on the recording track does almost not vary by the fact that information is recorded there, no tracking off-set or focusing off-set is produced. Thus effects of this invention are remarkable.

  • Patent number: 4775940
Abstract: There is disclosed a plowing depth detecting system for a rotary plow adapted to detect an actual plowing depth on the basis of distance data with respect to the ground received from a distance sensor attached to the rotary plow which is vertically movably connected to a vehicle through a link mechanism. The distance sensor provides a microprocessor with distance data with respect to the ground rearwardly of the rotary plow. The microprocessor determines a value of actual plowing depth of the rotary plow on the basis of this distance data and a correction value according to a working condition of the rotary plow.
