  • Patent number: 6058700
Abstract: A device for purifying the exhaust gas of an engine comprises a NO.sub.X absorbent arranged in the exhaust passage. The NO.sub.X absorbent absorbs NO.sub.X therein when the air-fuel ratio of the inflowing exhaust gas is lean, and releases the absorbed NO.sub.X therefrom when the oxygen concentration in the inflowing exhaust gas becomes lower. The NO.sub.X absorbent also absorbs SO.sub.X therein when the air-fuel ratio of the inflowing exhaust gas is lean, and releases the absorbed SO.sub.X therefrom when the oxygen concentration in the inflowing exhaust gas becomes lower, with the temperature of the NO.sub.X absorbent being higher than a SO.sub.X releasing temperature. The air-fuel ratio of the exhaust gas flowing to the NO.sub.X absorbent is made rich temporarily when the temperature of the NO.sub.X absorbent is higher than SO.sub.X releasing temperature and when the flow rate of the exhaust gas flowing through the NO.sub.X absorbent is lower than a predetermined flow rate, to release the absorbed SO.sub.

  • Patent number: 6027378
Abstract: A combined-type connector consists of a hood having at the front half a first connector-fitting chamber and at the rear half a side opening in a direction perpendicular to a connector-fitting direction; and a connector with a connector-fitting section having a second connector-fitting chamber formed therein. The connector-fitting section of the connector is inserted through the side opening into combination with the hood, moved in the direction perpendicular to the connector-fitting direction in which the connector is fitted with a mating connector. The hood and the connector can be easily combined and disassembled, though not disassembled under a force acting in the detaching direction of the connector from the mating connector.

  • Patent number: 6027374
Abstract: A connector housing has a terminal receiving portion at its rear side and an opposing connector coupling portion at its fore side. The terminal receiving portion includes a plurality of the terminal receiving channels separated by a plurality of partition walls extending in the connector engagement direction and each side wall is provided with a locking projection. The opposing connector coupling portion has a guide wall member that defines an insertion cavity for receiving a vehicle side fitting member. One of a plurality of wire-press-fit-type terminals is received in each of the terminal receiving channels for press-fitting an electrical wire therein. The terminal receiving portion has a cover, with a fore end of the cover being attached to the connector housing with a hinge, and each side wall of the cover has a lock hook that is engaged with one of the locking projections.

  • Patent number: 5888103
Abstract: There is disclosed a crimping connector in which the efficiency of the operation is enhanced by simplifying a process of crimping sheathed wires. Also the efficiency of arrangement of a terminal assembly in a mating connector is enhanced. Each of housings 10 and 11 includes an upwardly-open wire connecting portion 2 and a terminal connecting portion 3 of a closed cross-sectional shape communicating with the wire connecting portion 2, and the housings 10 and 11 are integrally connected together through hinges 4 so that the wire connecting portions 2 of the housings, as well as the terminal connecting portions 3 thereof, can be stacked one upon another vertically in the same position and the same direction, and also crimping terminals 30 in the stacked housings 10 and 11 are arranged vertically in the forward direction.

  • Patent number: 5849661
Abstract: An automotive exhaust catalyst includes an alumina support having pores, an NO.sub.x, storage member loaded in the pores having a pore diameter of from 10 to 30.ANG. at least, and a noble metal element loaded on the alumina support. The automotive exhaust catalyst can store NO.sub.x, in a large amount in fuel-lean or oxygen-rich atmosphere, and inhibit the alumina support from sintering, because the NO.sub.x storage member is loaded in a highly dispersed manner.

  • Patent number: 5710764
Abstract: A method of signal transmission between radio base stations (BSs) in a mobile communication system by using only one transmission system commonly used for both of communication with the exchange and communication with mobile stations (MSs) is realized. Each BS has at least one each of receiver and transmitter operable in the same frequency used in an adjacent BS, a call signal to be transferred is assigned in a channel slot of same radio signal as used for communication with MSs in own radio zone, the call signal contains destination indicator indicating an identification number of the BS to which the call signal is to be transferred, and each BS compares the indicator with own identification number, and if they coincide with each other, the call signal is extracted and used in the BS, but if they do not coincide with each other, the call signal is relayed to the next BS by transmitting radio signal containing the call signal in the same channel slot as received.

  • Patent number: 5504854
Abstract: A table calculating device used in an interactive data system based on a personal computer or the like. When an operator specifies a position and a shade with respect to an entry on a display screen of a display unit through such an input unit as a keyboard or a mouse, a generating section generates the entry having the specified shade at the specified position on the screen of the display unit. Through the repetition of the above procedure through the generating section, a plurality of entries having such specified shapes are displayed at a plurality of specified positions and corresponding tables are also generated. A copying section copies the entry at a position specified through the input unit on the display screen. A moving section moves the entry to a position specified through the input unit on the display screen. A shape changing section changes the shape of the entry to a shape specified through the input unit on the display screen.

  • Patent number: 5230040
Abstract: In a table calculating device, an instructing unit gives an instruction to change data of a graphic pattern corresponding to a value in one of the entries of a table, which is displayed on a display unit. A control unit controls the change of the value corresponding to the changed entry value, which is stored in a memory unit, the graphic pattern data corresponding to the entry value, and the graphic pattern data corresponding to the entry value displayed on the display unit, and causes the display unit to display again the entry value and the graphic pattern data corresponding to the entry value. Accordingly, visual and direct table preparation is possible.

  • Patent number: 5182920
Abstract: A condenser (2), an electronic expansion valve (5), an evaporator (6), and a motorized suction throttle valve (8) are connected in series with a compressor. When a capacity is increased, the electronic expansion valve (5) is controlled to be in a throttling direction and the motorized suction throttle valve (8) is controlled to be in an unthrottling direction in association with the control of the electronic expansion valve (5), and when a capacity is decreased, the electronic expansion valve (5) is controlled to be in an unthrottling direction and the motorized suction throttle valve (8) is controlled to be in a throttling direction in association with the control of the electronic expansion valve (5). While a capacity control of a compressor by a throttle control is been carried out, such associated control is made between the electronic expansion valve (5) and the motorized suction throttle valve (8), realizing a fine temperature control in a refrigerating machine without hunting.
