  • Patent number: 10490874
Abstract: A board to board contactless interconnect system includes a first circuit board for launching at st one microwave signal into a cavity of a first waveguide secured thereto. A second waveguide, secured to a second circuit board, is coupleable to the first waveguide to receive the at least one microwave signal in a cavity of the second waveguide and conduct the at least one microwave signal onto a microwave receiver aligned with the cavity on the second circuit board. The waveguides may be separable and may include additional waveguides. Conductive gaskets with apertures for microwave signals to pass through are positioned between the waveguides and between each circuit board and a waveguide to prevent leakage of microwave energy therebetween. Some embodiments may pass signals through a sealed boundary and maintain integrity of the seal. Such embodiments may have a third waveguide interposed between the first and second waveguides.

  • Patent number: 10392754
Abstract: A low maintenance rail seat has recess in the concrete tie and an abrasion plate that covers the floor of the recess and its sides parallel to the rail base. The abrasion plate includes ribs which seat in additional recesses in the tie to retard longitudinal movement. The anti-abrasion assembly preferably has four flanges which wrap around the top of concrete tie to prevent dust particles from entering and abrading the concrete rail seat. These flanges also wrap around the support shoulder for additional resistance to longitudinal movement. The components are designed to provide 8.5? of lateral support along the side of the rail base while the traditional e clip fastener provides only 3? of lateral support. The interlock feature between the anti-abrasion assembly and the concrete tie also minimizes relative movement between abrasion plate and concrete tie, which results in less concrete surface abrasion.

  • Publication number: 20180038052
Abstract: A tool for removing rail clips of the kind which are applied transversely to the rail, which includes a pair of levers connected at a pivot point and being adapted to move toward or away from each other. Each lever has at its lower end, a rail clip engagement face which engage opposed sides of a rail clip seating transversely on the rail base. Each clip engagement face includes a clamp plate adapted to abut one side of the toes of the rail clip, an engagement pin adapted to engage one side of the rear portion of said rail clip, and a reaction pivot rear edge adapted to pivot about a point behind said rail clip. This arrangement allows the tool to be opened by moving the levers away from each other, placing the engagement faces on either side of the clip and then bringing the levers together so that the clamp plates compress the toes of the clip together so that the clip can be removed rearwardly from the rail clip support shoulder.
