  • Patent number: 9527109
Abstract: A coating process and coated article are disclosed. The coating process includes positioning an article relative to an inductor, heating the article with the inductor, then applying a coating material over the article to form a crystalline coating. The heating of the article increases a first temperature of a surface of the article to a second temperature favoring crystal formation. Another coating process includes positioning an article, uniformly heating a surface of the article to a second temperature favoring crystal formation, then applying an environmental barrier coating material over the surface of the article to form a crystalline environmental barrier coating. The application of the environmental barrier coating is performed through air plasma spray deposition. The coated article includes an article having a complex geometry, and a crystalline coating applied on a surface of the article. The crystalline coating includes increased resistant to delamination.

  • Publication number: 20160344689
Abstract: Network device management may be provided. By utilizing a network ID tag (i.e., a switch identifier) corresponding to a network switch, a network management platform on a server may access network devices that exist behind the network switch. The network switch may comprise a network address translation (NAT) device. The network devices may comprise an industrial network comprising groups of machines that exist as islands behind their own respective network switches where each group of machines may utilize the same internet protocol (IP) addresses as other group of machines in the industrial network.

  • Patent number: 9168547
Abstract: A thermal metal spraying apparatus for use with a thermal metal spraying torch for applying a metal coating to a workpiece through a torch spraying nozzle having a spraying orifice. The thermal metal spraying apparatus provides a substantially tubular shroud having a first end and a second end adaptable to concentrically receive the torch spraying nozzle. The shroud has an opening at the second end, wherein the opening is selectably alignable with the spraying orifice. A drive mechanism is connected to the shroud and is operable to translate the shroud between a first position, wherein the opening at the second end is not aligned with the spraying orifice, thereby preventing the spraying of the metal coating on the workpiece, and a second position, wherein the opening at the second end is aligned with the spraying orifice permitting the spraying of the metal coating toward the workpiece.

  • Patent number: 8860551
Abstract: Included are network devices, systems, methods, and computer readable medium. These may employ a microcontroller with access to computer readable memory and computer readable storage wherein the microcontroller operates at a first network component of a local area network. The microcontroller may be configured to spatially locate one or more fiducial network components of a local area network in which the microcontroller is a member. The spatial location may be determined by receiving a unique identifier for a first fiducial network component, receiving a wireless signal from the first fiducial network component, determining a physical distance between the first network component and the first fiducial network component, and updating a registry with the determined physical distance. In certain embodiments, the network component may be an RFID reader and the unique identifier may be an IP or MAC address.

  • Patent number: 8799396
Abstract: Network cache systems are used to improve network performance and reduce network traffic. An improved network cache system that uses a centralized shared cache system is disclosed. Each cache device that shares the centralized shared cache system maintains its own catalog, database or metadata index of the content stored on the centralized shared cache system. When one of the cache devices that shares the centralized shared cache system stores a new content resource to the centralized shared cache system, that cache device transmits a broadcast message to all of the peer cache devices. The other cache devices that receive the broadcast message will then update their own local catalog, database or metadata index of the centralized share cache system with the information about the new content resource.
