  • Patent number: 8537283
Abstract: An image interpolator for high-definition images is presented that utilizes a two or more level hierarchical decomposition for complexity reduction. At the lowest level, after a block-based motion estimator, a pixel-based motion vector selector and a motion vector-based halo reducer, an occlusion-based adaptive motion field interpolator provides preliminary motion vectors for higher resolution level. At the high resolution level, a new motion estimation refining based on the double consideration of eventual occlusion region and motion vector precision refines the preliminary motion vectors, and again a motion vector-based halo reduction re-corrects the refined motion vectors. A new motion compensated image interpolator with controllable features for multiple interpolated images is presented. A versatile post-processing configuration for remaining artifacts may also be included.

  • Patent number: 8096419
Abstract: The present invention provides photosensitizing agents obtained by reducing a single double bond in the porphyrin macrocycle of a sulphonated meso-tetraphenylporphyrin, preferably a disulphonated meso-tetraphenylporphyrin such as TPPS2a. The resulting sulphonated meso-tetraphenyl chlorins include compounds of formula I: (wherein X is —SO3H; n, p, q and r are each independently 0 or 1; and the sum of n, p, q and r is an integer from 1 to 4, preferably at least 2, e.g. 2 or 4) isomers and isomer mixtures thereof. The compounds of the invention and their pharmaceutically acceptable salts find particular use as photosensitizing agents in the photochemical internalization of molecules and in photodynamic therapy.

  • Publication number: 20090161010
Abstract: An image interpolator is presented that utilizes a block-based motion estimator to provide block-based motion vectors and a motion vector select coupled to the block-based motion estimator to provide pixel based motion vectors. A first image interpolator provides a first interpolated image from the selected motion vectors. A second image interpolator corrects the selected motion vectors, including a correction for halo reduction. Post processing can be utilized to further reduce the halo effect.

  • Publication number: 20080195896
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for the real-time detection and prevention or correction of errors within an IC environment. The method comprises the steps of determining an event, or a sequence of events set, wherein these event set serve as triggers for a defect event within an IC, and configuring a logic analyzer that is embedded within the IC to monitor the operations of the IC in order to detect occurrences of defect event triggers within the IC. Further, the IC defect event trigger information is transmitted from the embedded logic analyzer to an IC hardware sequencer, wherein the hardware sequencer is configured to initiate actions to correct the defect event.

  • Patent number: 7001217
Abstract: A receptacle assembly includes a guide frame having a front end with an opening to an interior cavity of the guide frame. The front end is configured to receive a module assembly; and an EMI gasket is secured to an edge of the opening. The EMI gasket includes at least one conductive strap extending along a length of the edge, and the conductive strap covers a substantial majority of the edge to form a shielded EMI interface along the edge. A continuous conductive collar is provided on peripheral edges surrounding the opening. The collar is configured to form an uninterrupted and continuous EMI shielding interface with a gasket secured to a bezel. A bail ion the module may be used to cause actuators on the module to move and to press guide frame latches to a release position.

  • Publication number: 20050127516
Abstract: The present invention relates to integrated circuits comprising a protective overcoat and thick copper connectors. According to one aspect of the inventions, vias in the protective overcoat are substantially filled with tungsten plugs, or plugs of another metal with a relatively low coefficient of thermal expansion. According to another aspect of the invention, large vias in the protective overcoat are replaced with arrays of smaller vias. The invention reduces the likelihood of device failures during temperature cycling tests. Also, the invention allows for smaller vias in the protective overcoat and removal of interconnect functions to the thick copper layer.
