  • Publication number: 20190155895
Abstract: A pen-enabled editor application for an electronic device is disclosed that provides adaptive guidelines for handwritten text. The adaptive guidelines are generated, in real time with the handwritten text, to allow the user to take advantage of the freeform input possibilities of a blank page, while still benefiting from the neatness and organization that results from writing on a lined page. The adaptive guidelines are generated and have a location and a length that changes with measured aspects of the handwritten input text, as the text is written. The handwritten input text may be provided by a pen device interacting with a display device of the electronic device.

  • Publication number: 20190073347
Abstract: A note-taking application may be provided as a unified package that includes a full application for an unlocked state of the device, and a limited application for a locked state of the device. A user may perform a trigger action, such as swiping down from a corner, when the device is in a standby mode or displaying a lock screen. In response to the trigger action, the device may execute the limited application, allowing the user to write notes while the device remains in a locked state. The limited application accesses a sandboxed local note store with configurable note persistence, but can communicate with the full application by using secure API calls.

  • Patent number: 9950029
Abstract: The present invention provides a method of treating BPH using modified pore-forming proteins (MPPs). These MPPs are derived from naturally occurring cytotoxic proteins (nPPs) that kill cells by forming pores or channels in the cell membrane, resulting in cell death. The MPPs are generated by modification of the nPPs such that they are capable of being selectively activated at normal prostate cells. Such modification may include the addition of a prostate-specific protease cleavage site to the activation sequence, and/or the addition of a prostate-specific targeting domain to allow selective targeting of prostate cells. These MPPs are capable of selectively targeting and killing normal prostate cells in vivo. The MPPs may be used either alone or in combination with other therapies for the treatment of BPH.

  • Publication number: 20150347353
Abstract: Consistent with embodiments of the present disclosure, a Document Layering (DL) platform may enable a user to overlay a color layer and/or an interactive electronic layer on an existing legacy document. Such embodiments may begin by receiving a legacy document and a specification of layers to be added to the legacy document. The legacy document may include, for example, a PDF document. The specified layers may include, for example, color layer design or an interactive layer design. The DL platform may overlay the color design and/or interactive layer design upon the legacy document. Further, the DL platform may output an updated document comprised of the legacy document with the color layer and/or the interactive layer overlaid upon it.

  • Publication number: 20150342289
Abstract: A cycling shoe cover is designed to provide maximum protection from the elements such as rain, snow, and cold. It also provides aerodynamic benefit with minimum weight. The cover is flexible unitary made from an elastomer, such as silicone or latex rubber, and is highly elastic and waterproof. The upper part of the cover fits snugly over the cyclist's ankle to prevent water egress into the shoes from above. The lower part of the cover snugly cover and seals to the bottom edge of the shoe without interfering with the cycling shoe's cleat or attachment to the cycle pedal.
