  • Patent number: 5495399
Abstract: A shield (100) having a detachable grasp support member (140) is provided. The shield (100) includes a hollowed frame (110) having first and second surfaces (112, 114), and a cavity (130) extending from the first surface (112) to the second surface (114). A detachable grasp support member (140) is attached to the hollowed frame (110) and extends across at least a portion of the cavity (130). A second shield member (160) mounts onto the frame (110) and covers the cavity (130) along the first surface (112) to complete the shield (100).

  • Patent number: 5424921
Abstract: An electronic assembly (100) includes a first circuit board (120) which houses electronic components (122), a second circuit board (140) being three-dimensional and having integral members (143) to receive and position the first circuit board (120), and an electrical connector (130) between the first circuit board (120) and the second circuit board (140).

  • Patent number: 5411199
Abstract: A method for attaching a shield (102) to a an electronic assembly (116) having a heat sink (110) includes applying solder on the inner walls (104) of the shield (102). Next, the shield (102) is placed over the electronic assembly (116) such that the electronic assembly (116) is covered by the shield (102) and the shield (102) is in mechanical contact with the heat sink (110). Then, the shield (102) and heat sink (110) are heated so that the solder on the inner walls (104) of shield (102) flows and solders the shield (102) to the heat sink (110).

  • Patent number: 5265273
Abstract: A process for fabricating an electromagnetic shield for a display provides for a sheet upon which a metal mesh pattern and a border surrounding the metal mesh pattern is photo-chemically etched on the sheet. In addition, a portable radio having an electromagnetic shielded display provides for a bordered metal mesh disposed between a cover and a display.

  • Patent number: 5122216
Abstract: In a preferred method for affixing a discrete paper label to the mailer, a discrete paper label is suctioned onto the rotatable platen at a first predetermined position relative to the circumferential perimeter of the platen. As the rotatable platen rotates, adhesive is applied to a predetermined exposed portion of the paper label at a second predetermined position relative to the circumferential perimeter. Finally, at a third predetermined position relative to the circumferential perimeter, the paper label is blown off the rotatable platen and onto an adjacent continuously advancing web comprising multi-ply mailer forms each having a plurality of sheets in superimposed relationship. The paper label is thus affixed to a multi-ply mailed form at a predetermined location. Preferably, the rotatable platen receives a new paper label at the first predetermined position as the adhesive is applied to the label previously received on the platen.

  • Patent number: 4083473
Abstract: A liquid blending system for providing three grades: (a) a first base grade; (b) a second base grade; and (c) a fixed blend proportion of the two. A blend control lever coupled to a valve is selectively driven by a differential receiving inputs from fluid meters in the base grade lines. Opposed solenoids pull the lever to one extreme or the other for the two base grades.
