  • Patent number: 12068566
Abstract: The electrical wiring device includes a cover and a base. The base has a wire chamber supporting a wire termination assembly. The wire termination assembly includes a wire fastening member and a conductive member. The wire fastening member has a cam surface and is rotatable between an open position and a securing position. The conductive member is positioned in close proximity to the wire fastening member such that a gap is provided between the wire fastening member and the conductive member when the wire fastening member is in the open position. When the wire fastening member is rotated from the open position to the securing position, the cam surface rotates to reduce the size of the gap between the wire fastening member and the conductive member.

  • Patent number: 12059699
Abstract: Various examples are provided related to low pressure delivery, e.g., less than 250 psi at the point of application, of plural component system from unpressurized parts A and B material supplies. In one example, a system includes a polyurethane spray foam (“SPF”) raw material supply including parts A and B and a fluid handling system that can deliver the SPF raw material at low pressure to a metal spray gun in metered amounts through separate material fluid paths/conduits via a heated hose length and a whip hose. The fluid handling system can also deliver air at low pressure to the spray gun through separate air stream paths so that the air is communicated to the part A and B material conduits forward of the part A and B material input locations, where they are supplied separately to a mixing nozzle that is engaged at an end of the spray gun.

  • Publication number: 20240266828
Abstract: Examples described herein relate to energy management and optimization. An energy management system can monitor a microgrid using sensors associated with a utility grid, one or more power sources, and one or more load devices. The energy management system can determine one or more load profiles corresponding to the one or more load devices based on measurements from the sensors. The energy management system can determine a priority order of the one or more load devices based on a user input or availability of the one or more power sources. The energy management system can then dynamically connect and disconnect the one or more power sources and the one or more load devices based on a utility grid condition, available powers from the one or more power sources, the one or more load profiles, and the priority order of the one or more load devices.

  • Publication number: 20240252061
Abstract: Patient support apparatuses include a frame, support surface, and a controller. The controller provides notification to a user of a service event relating to the patient support apparatus. The controller limits functionality of a component of the patient support apparatus based upon a severity of the service event. The controller may also, or alternatively, detect when a control is activated by a user and, in response to such activation, determine whether the patient support apparatus has been marked for use or marked for servicing. If marked for use, the controller responds in a first manner, and if marked for service, the controller responds in a different manner. In other embodiments, a method is provided for determining an order in which multiple patient support apparatuses should be service. In still other embodiments, the patient support apparatus automatically changes to an unusable configuration when in need of high priority service.

  • Publication number: 20240247540
Abstract: This disclosure presents a safe high speed roll-up door with spiral brackets. To enable a high speed operation, robust spiral brackets having efficient spacing are provided to guide the plurality of sectional slats. Durable and low noise signature rollers are used. A unique assembly configuration of the slats and the tracks guiding the rollers enable quick replacement of each individual roller without disassembling the door. A double-belt counter weight mechanism balances the door and incorporates safety sensors that prevent loosening the belts when the door is jammed. The belts are further adjustable using ratchets such that adjustment for the horizontal balance as well as weight position is made effortless. In all, the high speed roll-up door using sectional slats performs faster and quieter, withstands greater loads, and lasts longer than other existing roll-up doors with spiral brackets.

  • Patent number: 12046359
Abstract: A caregiver assistance system helps caregivers manage the care of patients and the beds that support the patients. The system monitors tasks associated with the patients, such as caregiver rounding tasks, bed sore assessments, and/or fall risk assessments, and forwards completed tasks to an EMR server. The system also monitors the state of the beds and determines compliance with one or more healthcare facility protocols. Over time, the system gathers data from multiple beds regarding how often the beds are in compliance with the healthcare facility protocols and produces reports of the compliance levels to assist administrators in managing their healthcare facilities. The system may further monitor how quickly caregivers responds to one or more alert conditions relating to the beds and/or patients, and generate reports for the administrators regarding such response times.

  • Publication number: 20240243840
Abstract: In a probabilistic amplitude shaping (PAS) system, a distribution matching (DM) component may receive a uniform bit sequence with equal probabilities, which may be converted into symbols with a desired probability distribution (e.g., Gaussian). For example, the probability distribution may use inner constellation points associated with a lower energy and/or power more frequently and outer constellation points associated with a higher energy and/or power less frequently. In general, the DM component may map binary bits to positive amplitudes with a non-uniform distribution according to a DM rate that is based at least in part on a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), which may vary significantly in a spatial and frequency selective wireless channel. Accordingly, some aspects described herein relate to configuring DM parameters and codeword and resource mappings in a spatial and frequency selective wireless channel.
