    Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for adjusting a compressor recirculation valve in response to condensate forming conditions in a charge air cooler (CAC). In one example, a compressor recirculation valve may be opened in response to an induction pressure greater than a threshold pressure when the induction pressure is greater than required to produce a manifold pressure required for a torque demand. Further, a wastegate may be opened to further reduce the induction pressure during certain driving conditions.

    Abstract: Methods and systems are providing for improving engine coolant level estimation to reduce engine overheating. The level of fluid in a coolant overflow reservoir is inferred based on the fluid level in a hollow vertical standpipe fluidically coupled to the reservoir at top and bottom locations. An ultrasonic sensor positioned in a recess at the bottom of the vertical standpipe transmits signals intermittently, receives their echoes upon reflection from the coolant surface, and estimates the fluid level in the standpipe based on echo times.

The chip is then oriented such that the plated stud bumps on the active side of the chip face bond pads on a substrate, and the stud bumps on the chip are bonded to the bond pads on the substrate.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a method for reducing the pixel resolution of a digital image by binning pixels together to form macro pixels. The digital image comprises pixels arranged in a color mask of at least three different colors. The color mask can be a Bayer mask comprising one red pixel, two green pixels and one blue pixel. The pixel binning method comprises selecting a number of pixels of each color. For example, in order to obtain a factor two resolution reduction, four red pixels can be binned for generating a red macro pixel and eight green pixels can be binned for generating two green macro pixels. By selecting for example only one blue pixel and using that pixel for generating a blue macro pixel the optical centers of the macro pixels will be evenly distributed over the image.

    Abstract: Lossless, near-lossless, and lossy compression and decompression of digital image data, whereby the image data can be compressed and decompressed on-the-fly with no need for external RAM resources for temporary data storage while compressing/decompressing image data. Implementing the algorithm only requires a very limited amount of silicon and yields very high performance in relation to very low power consumption. The described implementation is optimized for raw image data from a sensor with a Bayer filter pattern but can be used on data from image sensors with ay color filter. The compression algorithm contains a line indexing formation which enables very fast subsampling of an already compressed image and the possibility to decompress only parts of an image—this improves performance and reduces the need for temporary RAM storage greatly when zooming and in postprocessing.
