  • Patent number: 10740532
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure address improved systems and methods for generating a clock tree based on route-driven placement of fan-out clock drivers. Consistent with some embodiments, a method may include constructing a spanning tree comprising one or more paths that interconnect a set of clock sinks of a clock net of an integrated circuit device design. The method further includes calculating a center of the set of the clock sinks based on clock sink locations in the integrated circuit device design and identifying a point on the spanning tree nearest to the center of the set of clock sinks. The method further includes generating a clock tree by placing a clock driver at the point on the spanning tree that is nearest to the center of the set of clock sinks.

  • Publication number: 20200222453
Abstract: Modified hydrophilic carbon clusters (HCCs), poly(ethylene glycol)-hydrophilic carbon clusters (PEG-HCCs) and similarly structured materials like graphene quantum dots (GQDs), PEGylated GQDs, small molecule antioxidants, and PEGylated small molecule antioxidants. These materials have been modified with an iron chelating moiety, deferoxamine, or a similar chelating moiety. By exploiting common binding sites, the carbon nanostructure facilitates intracellular transport including in mitochondria, reduces oxidative breakdown of the chelator moiety prior to treatment, and reduces both the cause and consequences of metal induced oxidative stress within the body thus providing a novel form of therapy for a range of oxidative and metal-related toxicities. Graphenic materials can be used for the treatment of acute and chronic mitochondrial electron transport chain dysfunction.

  • Publication number: 20200218354
Abstract: Described is a method for instilling the haptic dimension of texture to virtual and holographic objects using mid-air ultrasonic technology. A set of features is extracted from imported images using their associated displacement maps. Textural qualities such as the micro and macro roughness are then computed and fed to a haptic mapping function together with information about the dynamic motion of the user's hands during holographic touch. Mid-air haptic textures are then synthesized and projected onto the user's bare hands. Further, mid-air haptic technology enables tactile exploration of virtual objects in digital environments. When a user's prior and current expectations and rendered tactile texture differ, user immersion can break. A study aims at mitigating this by integrating user expectations into the rendering algorithm of mid-air haptic textures and establishes a relationship between visual and mid-air haptic roughness.

  • Patent number: 10685538
Abstract: A system providing various improved processing techniques for haptic feedback is described. An acoustic field is defined by one or more control points in a space within which the acoustic field may exist. Each control point is assigned an amplitude value equating to a desired amplitude of the acoustic field at the control point. Transducers are then controlled to create an acoustic field exhibiting the desired amplitude at each of the control points. When human skin interacts with the acoustic field, vibrations of the skin are interpreted by mechanoreceptors being excited and sending signals to the brain via the nervous system. Improved processing techniques allow for more efficient real-world operation.

  • Patent number: 10672251
Abstract: In some examples, systems, methods, and devices are described that generate contextual suggestions for patients. Generation of the contextual suggestions is triggered by certain events performed by a medical professional with respect to a patient (e.g., updating a patient record). The contextual suggestions are related to addressing health conditions of the patient and represent tasks or considerations which the medical professional should be made aware. The contextual suggestions are generated in a way that is considerate of patient context, medical professional context, and contexts of similar patients. The contextual suggestions can be presented to the medical professional for selection and execution.

  • Patent number: 10665348
Abstract: In some examples, structured and unstructured data is analyzed to determine whether a user is at risk for a certain condition. The results of this analysis can be included in a risk assessment. In some examples, structured and unstructured data is analyzed to determine whether a particular event has taken place. Once detection of occurrence of the event has taken place, a notification is generated that a correct recipient is identified. In addition, it is determined if and how the notification should be escalated.

  • Patent number: 10642958
Abstract: In some examples, a suggestion engine is provided to generate decision support output (DSO) based on data collected generation devices within a network. The DSO may be based on dependent users details, profile information for an authorized user associated with the dependent user, one or more knowledge artifacts, and/or other information related to a relationship between the dependent user and the authorized user. The DSO may include one or more suggestions, tasks, considerations, or the like. These may be presented in a customizable contextual user interface which presents DSO in a manner that considers the underlying context in which the dependent user exists. Based on a selection of a task or suggestion, a populator engine may populate one or more forms, which may be approved and provided to other authorized users. In addition, certain analytics data may be organized according to a performance indicator and included within a dashboard, which may be included in the contextual user interface.
