  • Patent number: 11512682
Abstract: A linear-acting electric pump unit and method for operating said unit. A linear-acting electric pump unit comprises an electromagnet and a pump unit. It is to be suitable for delivering gas/liquid mixtures. In order that it may be compactly assembled with other devices, it is to have a central inlet. The fluid delivered by the pump unit flows through the electromagnet and enters the pump unit on one side and leaves it on the other through the non-return valves, each arranged on the same centre line as the electromagnet. The pump unit can be used for delivery of gas/liquid mixtures, preferably in the sphere of combustion engines and their fuel supply systems and exhaust emission control systems.

  • Patent number: 11302468
Abstract: An electromagnet and method for producing an electromagnet. The electromagnet includes a sheet metal casing encompassing a magnetic coil at its end face on a magnetic pole side and extends into an interior of the magnetic coil and forms, in this case, a magnetic pole which interacts with a magnet keeper. The electromagnet enables actuation of a valve, a coupling or a reciprocating pump. The structure is achieved with as few cutting processes as possible to be used for generating the individual parts and as small a number as possible of individual parts is to be used per electromagnet.

  • Patent number: 11000251
Abstract: The present invention relates to a CT imaging system as well as a method for CT imaging is provided. For CT imaging, in practice a scout scan and a main scan of a human subject may be performed. It has been found that a detector signal, provided by a detector which detects the X-ray radiation during the scout scan, may be used on the one hand for determining a respective scout image and on the other hand to determine the bone mineral density of the human subject. Although the scout scan is usually primarily performed for determining the scout image, it is of advantage, if the detector used for detecting the X-ray radiation during the scout scan is formed and/or configured to detect X-ray radiation of a first energy spectrum and to detect X-ray radiation of a different, second energy spectrum. In this case, the detector can provide more precise information about the scout region of the human subject and resulting therefrom in a more precise determination of the bone mineral density.

  • Patent number: 10935147
Abstract: An electromagnetically actuated valve. The electromagnetically actuated valve with a small longitudinal extension, allows great through-flow quantities for the fluid with a small pressure difference. It is intended in this case that it should be producible cost-effectively in large unit numbers. An armature carries a plurality of valve bodies arranged in a point-symmetrical manner which together form a movable valve, wherein the plurality of valve bodies interact with a same plurality of valve seats which together form a stationary valve. The valve can be used along with a pump, a tank and/or other fluid units in assemblies for conveying mixtures of gas and liquid.

  • Publication number: 20190331109
Abstract: An electrofluidic assembly and method for its operation. The functions of a reciprocating pump and of a valve should be combined in one assembly. Here, in particular the pump and the valve should interact so that a small number of line connections are required. A pump assembly and a valve are arranged on an identical central line and use a bearing rod jointly for movable bearing of a first solenoid armature which activates a displacement apparatus of the pump assembly on one hand and a second solenoid armature of the valve which activates a group of closing bodies on the other hand. The electrofluidic assembly can be used for monitoring tank systems.

  • Publication number: 20080064136
Abstract: Supercritical fluid-assisted deposition of materials on substrates, such as semiconductor substrates for integrated circuit device manufacture. The deposition is effected using a supercritical fluid-based composition containing the precursor(s) of the material to be deposited on the substrate surface. Such approach permits use of precursors that otherwise would be wholly unsuitable for deposition applications, as lacking requisite volatility and transport characteristics for vapor phase deposition processes.

  • Publication number: 20080049379
Abstract: A novel lead zirconium titanate (PZT) material having unique properties and application for PZT thin film capacitors and ferroelectric capacitor structures, e.g., FeRAMs, employing such thin film material. The PZT material is scalable, being dimensionally scalable, pulse length scalable and/or E-field scalable in character, and is useful for ferroelectric capacitors over a wide range of thicknesses, e.g., from about 20 nanometers to about 150 nanometers, and a range of lateral dimensions extending to as low as 0.15 ?m. Corresponding capacitor areas (i.e., lateral scaling) in a preferred embodiment are in the range of from about 104 to about 10?2 ?m. The scalable PZT material of the invention may be formed by liquid delivery MOCVD, without PZT film modification techniques such as acceptor doping or use of film modifiers (e.g., Nb, Ta, La, Sr, Ca and the like).

  • Publication number: 20070134417
Abstract: A method of forming an iridium-containing film on a substrate, from an iridium-containing precursor thereof which is decomposable to deposit iridium on the substrate, by decomposing the precursor and depositing iridium on the substrate in an oxidizing ambient environment which may for example contain an oxidizing gas such as oxygen, ozone, air, and nitrogen oxide. Useful precursors include Lewis base stabilized Ir(I) ?-diketonates and Lewis base stabilized Ir(I) ?-ketoiminates. The iridium deposited on the substrate may then be etched for patterning an electrode, followed by depositing on the electrode a dielectric or ferroelectric material, for fabrication of thin film capacitor semiconductor devices such as DRAMs, FRAMs, hybrid systems, smart cards and communication systems.
