  • Publication number: 20050151457
Abstract: The arrangement (100) enables the provision of gas pressure for laminating a first and a second substrate (1,2) of a flat panel display. The fluid is provided in a cavity (110) defined by a second carrier plate (102) and a ring-shaped protrusion (103) of the arrangement (100), and the outer face (22) of the second substrate (2). The substrates (1,2) with a display element (8) in between of them, are laminated with sealing material (7), that preferably comprises spacers to keep the inner faces (11,21) of the substrates (1,2) at a predetermined distance of less than 50 ?m.

  • Publication number: 20040252017
Abstract: Secure Home Delivery SystemA system for providing secure delivery or collection of goods too large to be delivered through traditional apertures such as the letterbox, to a location, such as a home, where the goods have previously been remotely ordered using remote means such as the internet or telephone. Access to a secure location, for example, a dedicated receptacle, garage or shed, is achieved by presentation of an access code by the delivery personnel, the origin of which is linked to the order of the goods. The access code may be computed using time-based algorithms that are replicated by the lock at the delivery location, unlocking occurring when the access codes coincide. The lock can provide access to a key safe, which in turns holds keys to a secure location. The system could equally be used for the collection of goods and for providing access to utility meters.

  • Publication number: 20030211996
Abstract: An isolated polyneucleotides comprising a HBsAg—S coding sequence that is adapted to receive an insert coding sequence, within a part of the HBsAg—S coding sequence that encodes an exposed site within the external loop of HBsAgS, and still encode a HBsAg—S that is able to assemble into a VLP. Proteins encoded by the polynucleotides, recombinant VLP's and various uses thereof are also described.

  • Patent number: 6310330
Abstract: An improved system and method for controlling the temperature of a resistance heater in a heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (“HVAC”) system is disclosed. The control circuit and method includes three separate thermostats per heater leg and are designed to trip at three, sequential pre-selected temperatures to address certain issues associated with prior art designs for thermal overload protection. One of the thermostats is of an automatically resettable type wherein the remaining two are of a “one-shot” design and will remain open until there is human intervention.

  • Patent number: 5878408
Abstract: A design control system suitable for use in connection with the design of integrated circuits and other elements of manufacture having many parts which need to be developed in a concurrent engineering environment with inputs provided by users and or systems which may be located anywhere in the world provides a set of control information for coordinating movement of the design information through development and to release while providing dynamic tracking of the status of elements of the bills of materials in an integrated and coordinated activity control system utilizing a repository which can be implemented in the form of a database (relational, object oriented, etc.) or using a flat file system. Once a model is created and/or identified by control information design libraries hold the actual pieces of the design under control of the system without limit to the number of libraries, and providing for tracking and hierarchical designs which are allowed to traverse through multiple libraries.
