  • Publication number: 20230075689
Abstract: A control system including one or more processors that may determine vehicle locations of one or more vehicles and states of charge of vehicle energy storage devices onboard the one or more vehicles. The control system may include an energy chassis having a fuel source holding a supply of fuel, an energy converter to convert at least a portion of the supply of the fuel from the fuel source into electric energy, and a communication device to communicate with the processors. The processors may direct which of the one or more vehicles are to couple with and be powered by the electric energy of the energy chassis based on one or more of: the vehicle locations, the states of charge of the vehicle energy storage devices, an amount of the supply of the fuel of the energy chassis, and a chassis location of the energy chassis.

  • Publication number: 20230061668
Abstract: Described apparatuses and methods order memory address portions advantageously for cache-memory addressing. An address bus can have a smaller width than a memory address. The multiple bits of the memory address can be separated into most-significant bits (MSB) and least-significant bits (LSB) portions. The LSB portion is provided to a cache first. The cache can process the LSB portion before the MSB portion is received. The cache can use index bits of the LSB portion to index into an array of memory cells and identify multiple corresponding tags. The cache can also check the corresponding tags against lower tag bits of the LSB portion. A partial match may be labeled as a predicted hit, and a partial miss may be labeled as an actual miss, which can initiate a data fetch. With the remaining tag bits from the MSB portion, the cache can confirm or refute the predicted hit.

  • Publication number: 20230005571
Abstract: Techniques are provided for generating an array-specific range of Tm values to be used for calling a sample in a given array positive or negative for a target nucleic acid sequence. A sample well in an array is provided with a control sample containing a control nucleic acid sequence. The control sample is amplified by thermal cycling the sample well. A Tm value for the control sample is identified and compared to an expected Tm value for the control nucleic acid sequence to calculate a relationship between the identified control Tm value and the expected control Tm value. By applying this relationship to an expected Tm value for a target nucleic acid sequence, an array-specific range of Tm values for the target nucleic acid sequence is generated and can be used for calling an experimental sample in the same array positive or negative for the target nucleic acid sequence.

  • Patent number: 11518422
Abstract: A control system and method determine an energy demand associated with delivery of cargo in a trip. The energy demand represents how much electric energy is needed to move cargo vehicles that carry the cargo through the trip. Locations of energy tenders and states of charge of the energy tenders are determined. A schedule for the cargo vehicles to deliver the cargo to a delivery location within a delivery time slot is determined. This schedule is determined based on the energy demand, the locations of the energy tenders, and the states of charge of the energy tenders. The system and method direct which of the energy tenders that the cargo vehicles are to couple with, be powered by, and move with for powering the cargo along routes to the delivery location of the trip within the designated time slot.

  • Publication number: 20220351303
Abstract: According to one aspect of the invention, a dynamic, computer enabled, transformative process includes a plurality of steps, wherein raw data is first detected, flattened, transformed, and mapped to a new set of headers and/or reordered as needed to facilitate a wide variety of survey export formats uploadable to products useful by clients using associated software. According to other aspects, the file detection process automates a historic process of opening files and looking at certain attributes of the file format to confirm that the file is a certain survey from a publisher and handled appropriately after the metadata information is detected from the raw file. File formats are detected using a combination of file attributes and pattern recognition; for example, filenames, the number of sheets in a workbook, and the number of words in workbook might be appropriate file attributes in a particular application.

  • Publication number: 20220188731
Abstract: This application discloses a computing system implementing a line balancing tool to generate a structured bill of materials for a wire harness based on a harness design and available fabrication processes. The computing system can decompose the structured bill of materials into tasks and assign the tasks to workstations in a production line configured to manufacture the wire harness. The computing system can determine dependencies between a plurality of the tasks and verify the tasks assigned to the workstation conform to the dependencies between the plurality of the tasks. The dependencies can indicate an order for performance of the operations associated with the tasks. The computing system can identify unassigned tasks capable of assignment to one or more of the workstations and determine which of the workstations the unassigned assembly tasks, if assigned, would conform with the dependencies between the plurality of the assembly tasks.
