  • Publication number: 20170118945
Abstract: A waste cartridge in combination with a waste machine or apparatus that maintains waste pads for a pet owner, automatically or manually by removing and sealing soiled pads and waste and then replacing the soiled pad with a clean pad on a pet bed of the machine. The apparatus senses when a pet is using a waste pad portion and when the pet is finished, the machine takes up the soiled portion of the pad and removes and seals the soiled portion of the pad roll and the waste automatically, moving the pad into a repository for later removal and disposal of the waste cartridge when the pad roll is used up and then replacing removed pad with a new waste cartridge. The waste cartridge is comprised of a pad roll and a take-up rod attached to one end of the pad by any means such as a clip, slot or adhesive on the take-up rod.

  • Patent number: 9146020
Abstract: A modular controller for a lamp allows for the easy addition of remote control to multiple lamp fixture designs. The controller housing protects circuitry from shorts and has a window included for receiving remote control signals. The window is detachable and can be re-oriented relative to the controller housing to accommodate different lamp fixture designs. The position of the sensors within the controller housing can also be reconfigured, and it is also possible to connect external sensors to the controller for situations where sensors must be placed in a tight space. In some embodiments, the lamp power supply is incorporated within the modular controller, saving space and cost, and allowing for dimming of individual lamps.

  • Publication number: 20070268701
Abstract: A method and apparatus of motorizing pan and tilt axes of existing track lighting fixture designs for minimal cost and with minimal impact on existing aesthetic design is presented. The inherently-built-in clutch of this design allows manual adjustment of lamp orientation as well as motorized adjustment, and obviates the need for expensive current limit circuitry and/or limit switches in the design. A beveled-gear embodiment provides for easy fine-tuning of the axial position of the beveled gearmotor output gears, which facilitates precise gear meshing even with large mechanical tolerance stack-up.

  • Patent number: 6270466
Abstract: A method and apparatus for the treatment of bruxism thorough biofeedback is disclosed. In one embodiment, the apparatus consists of electronics mounted in a light-weight headband which may be worn comfortably by a user during sleep or while awake. Electrodes within the headband pick up surface EMG voltage signals indicative of bruxism, and bio-feedback is provided to the user by a piezoelectric transducer in mechanical contact with the head of the user. One electrode of the piezoelectric transducer also serves as the reference sense electrode. The electrodes require no chemistry, allowing the apparatus to be worn for considerable periods without skin irritation. Information detailing the timing, quantity, and duration of bruxing events may be stored internally for later retrieval via display, computer interface, or voice synthesis interface. When EMG signals satisfy certain pre-determined time and amplitude conditions, an acoustical bio-feedback signal is generated.

  • Patent number: 5605466
Abstract: An electrical outlet adapter has a base that has a support face and a room face. The support face has a cord end, an oppositely disposed nose end and two sides. The room face is spaced from the support face and comprises a cord end socket surface and a nose end socket surface, spaced from each other and substantially parallel, each socket surface forms an angle with the support face of between 90.degree. and 135.degree.. A medial surface connects the cord end socket surface with an adjacent socket surface relatively noseward. Piercing each socket surface is at least one set of socket holes adapted to receive a multi-prong electrical power plug. Adjacent each set of socket holes is an electrical conductor configured to mate with the multi-prong electrical power plug when inserted into the set of holes. Connected to each of the electrical conductors, is an electrical network that is configured as a multi-prong electrical power plug. The adapter may also have a cover.
