The system includes a computer having a display, a processor, and memory, an input device for allowing a user to interact with the computer processor and display to change one or more parameters of sales and gross margin percent (GM %) so as to determine a price for at least one item for sale and an output device for outputting new pricing information for the at least one item. The method includes steps of receiving sales and cost data for items, displaying one or more graphs of sales and GM % for a plurality of items, iteratively updating the graphs based on user selected optimization parameters and outputting new prices for the one or more items based on the optimization.
