  • Publication number: 20080272980
Abstract: An antenna comprises a first antenna element, which has a first helix, and a second antenna element, which has a second helix. The first and the second antenna elements each have a feed point at an outer end of the corresponding helix and an open end at an inner end of the corresponding helix. A symmetrical helix antenna according to the invention can be integrated in a comparatively simple manner in an existing system, for example in a hearing aid. By integrating the antenna in a plastic housing, the antenna cannot be seen at all from the outside. The antenna is comparatively small in relation to conventional antennas.

  • Patent number: 7311014
Abstract: The invention relates to a sensor comprising a sensor element (1) for detecting a physical variable, said sensor comprising two electric contact surfaces (2), and comprising a sensor body (3), on one end of which the sensor element (1) and on the other end of which a contact carrier (4) is located, wherein the contact carrier (4) supports at least two insulation displacement contacts (5) suitable for producing an insulation displacement connection (6) to an electric connecting cable (7), wherein each contact surface (2) is connected to an insulation displacement contact (5). The invention also relates to a sensor assembly. The combination of the insulation displacement technology with the sensor makes it possible for the sensor and the cable tree of a motor vehicle, for example, to be contacted in a simple manner.

  • Publication number: 20070231461
Abstract: Method and apparatus for producing structures from functional materials, in particular electrical functional materials, in which in a first method step first of all a homogeneous surface tension of the substrate is produced which is higher relative to the normal state of the substrate and then the surface tension of the substrate is reduced in the first or second region to a lower value, the first region being configured in the shape of the structure to be produced. Then in a further method step the functional material is applied to the substrate, the functional material being configured so that it is deposited only in the first region and thus the desired structure is formed from functional material.

  • Publication number: 20070170750
Abstract: A convertible top stack linkage is provided that is formed, in part, in a thixotropic magnesium molding process. Many structural parts of the convertible top stack linkage may be thixotropically molded. A pivot link of the top stack linkage is pivotally connected to two bows, for example, the three and four bows of the top stack. A five bow extends between and is attached to right and left pivot links by right and left pressure links, respectively. A pivot link is provided that has a triple pivot connection to a tensioning link, a center rail and a rear rail. A main spring is secured to a pivot pin and connected to a main pivot bracket on the vehicle to provide a counterbalancing force on the balance link that assists in lifting the top stack linkage as the convertible top is retracted and extended.
