  • Publication number: 20230276818
Abstract: Disclosed are methods and systems that enable real-time, continuous reduction in the rate of degradation of oils used to fry foods. The disclosed methods and systems accomplish this by reducing the rate of accumulation of undesirable oil breakdown byproducts, keeping the levels of these undesirable compounds below those at which food quality is negatively impacted and oil degradation accelerates. The disclosed methods and systems thus enable improved frying oil lifetimes, decreased frying oil consumption, greater consistency in fried food quality, and/or improvements in worker safety relative to conventional frying methods.

  • Patent number: 11055673
Abstract: A network operator intermediates a cashless transaction by sending a payment device issuer an outbound clearing data file enriched with cleansed merchant data. Issuers that choose to participate in the merchant data cleansing service will be provided with the cleansed, and optionally augmented, merchant information. Providing this data to the issuer could be used to help reduce costs associated with “do not recognize” calls by cardholders, disputed charges, and charge-backs. With cleansed data provided in the clearing record, a device holder would be given access to this cleansed information about the merchant where a transaction took place through their statement. The present disclosure also provides for augmenting the clearing record data to include merchant-specific add-on and/or aggregate data not presently included in the transaction clearing record, yet useful to the issuer both in form and content.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 30, 2018
Date of Patent: July 6, 2021
    Assignee: MASTERCARD INTERNATIONAL INCORPORATED

  • Patent number: 10748244
Abstract: A method for detecting stereo images includes receiving an image and analyzing at least a portion of the image. The method further includes determining whether the image is a stereo image based on the analysis. The method may include determining if a portion of the image contains an expected icon, may determine if left and right halves of the image contain expected symmetry, may determine if histograms of the left and right halves are similar, or the like. The method further includes generating a confidence value related to the determination of whether the image is stereo or non-stereo, the confidence value indicating a likelihood that the determination is correct.
