  • Publication number: 20200019898
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed relating to evaluating nodes of a process. A computer system may receive instance data that relates to an instance of a multi-step process and is written by a set of the plurality of nodes that performed the instance according to a particular ordering. The computer system may process the instance data to produce path data that corresponds to a path indicative of the particular ordering. The computer system may further receive feedback data indicative of an outcome of the instance. The computer system may process the path data and the feedback data to update a model that indicates confidence scores for the plurality of nodes. The computer system may determine, using confidence scores indicated by the model, that one or more of the set of nodes do not satisfy a quality threshold.

  • Publication number: 20190236466
Abstract: A method and a cloud-computing architecture for enabling dynamic access of an artificial intelligence engine are described. A record that includes a set of one or more fields is stored in a database. A first field from the set of fields includes an identification of an artificial intelligence (AI) engine and one or more additional fields from the set of fields respectively include one or more parameters for the AI engine. The record is accesses causing the AI engine to run with the one or more parameters. As a result of the AI engine running with the one or more parameters upon access of the record, a desired predicted output is obtained.

  • Publication number: 20190236297
Abstract: In various embodiments, a method of verifying a multi-factor administrator action may be performed. The method may include receiving, from a first user, an authentication request that indicates a requested access, where the first user has administrative privileges to perform the requested access. The method may further include identifying a second user that has administrative privileges to approve the requested access. A verification request may be to the second user. In response to receiving an approval message from the second user within a particular amount of time, an authentication response that indicates that the first user is authorized to perform the requested access may be sent to the first user.

  • Patent number: 10327054
Abstract: An extendable speaker system is provided with a base and lid that are connected via a plurality of concentric collapsible hollow bodies such as cylinders. A woofer speaker resides in the base. Mid range or tweeter speakers reside in the lid. The lid is displaced away from the base to expand the speaker system, where the extended cylinders provide an airtight seal between the base and lid forming a woofer speaker enclosure therein. Friction seals between the cylinders, a spring residing within the speaker enclosure, and the airtight speaker enclosure itself provide a collective force sufficient to maintain the speaker system in an extended configuration. A port is opened by depressing a button to vent the enclosure to allow for the speaker system to be collapsed. A locking system is provided to releasably maintain the speaker system in a collapsed configuration.

  • Patent number: 10165337
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for providing playback devices with trick play functionality are described. The system includes a playback device, e.g., without recording capability, and a gateway device with multiple tuner-demodulators and/or a cable modem and recording capability. During normal playback, in some embodiments, both the playback device and gateway receive content in parallel with the gateway recording content at the request of the playback device and supplying the content over the local network when a user of the playback device requests a trick play operation. A single gateway, with multiple tuner demodulator pairs and/or a cable modem, supports trick play functions. In some embodiments if the number of playback devices exceeds the number of tuner-demodulator pairs in the gateway, the playback device can stream content to the gateway for recording and to be returned via the local network in the event of a request for a trick play operation.

  • Publication number: 20170105247
Abstract: A heating apparatus for a gas chromatography column is described. The GC column heating apparatus includes a conical heater assembly comprising a heating element between an inner layer and an outer layer. The apparatus can also include optionally an outer cowl and/or an inner cowl surrounding the conical heater assembly. The conical heater assembly rapidly increases the temperature of the column by conductive heating. The selection of shape (in particular, the cone angle of a conical heater) and materials allows the GC column to adapt to expansion that occurs upon heating. A gas chromatography (GC) column heating and cooling apparatus is also described, in which the heater and outer cowl define a flowpath through which a cooling fluid can pass and cool the GC column.
