  • Publication number: 20210003711
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure involve systems, methods, and devices for fault detection in a Lidar system. A fault detection system obtains incoming Lidar data output by a Lidar system during operation of an AV system. The incoming Lidar data includes one or more data points corresponding to a fault detection target on an exterior of a vehicle of the AV system. The fault detection system accesses historical Lidar data that is based on data previously output by the Lidar system. The historical Lidar data corresponds to the fault detection target. The fault detection system performs a comparison of the incoming Lidar data with the historical Lidar data to identify any differences between the two sets of data. The fault detection system detects a fault condition occurring at the Lidar system based on the comparison.

  • Publication number: 20200317302
Abstract: A remotely controlled, self-propelled floating cooler includes a main body member that generally has an ovoid shape, as shown, for streamlined movement through the water. The main body member is generally hollow, which allows for ice, drinks, food, and the like to be placed inside of the main body member through an opening or hatch on top. A lid may be removably secured to the opening on top, and preferably includes securing means for maintaining the lid in a closed position, even in rough water. Remotely controlled propulsion means are attached to an underside of the cooler on one end thereof. Other features include an audio receiver with speakers, port and starboard running lights, GPS navigation, submerged spotlights, and video cameras mounted above and below the waterline, all of which may be operated via a remote control device.

  • Patent number: 10731809
Abstract: A synthetic gaslight is described herein. The synthetic gaslight has a translucent upper section that simulates the upper part of a traditional gas flame, a translucent lower section that simulates the lower part of a traditional gas flame, and an opaque isolation section that prevents light from lower section from entering the upper section and that also prevents light from the upper section from entering the lower section. The translucent lower section maintains a constant illumination for the lower part of the simulated gas flame. The translucent upper section has a flickering illumination for the upper part of the simulated gas flame.

  • Patent number: 10647329
Abstract: Various examples are directed to systems and methods for controlling a vehicle. Power may be provided to a cut-off valve in fluid communication between an automated control (AC) valve and a shuttle valve. The cut-off valve may be configured to open in response to the power, causing fluid communication between the AC valve and the shuttle valve. A vehicle autonomy system may modulate the AC valve to control a level of pressurized air provided from a pressurized air reservoir to a foundation brake via the AC valve and the shuttle valve. In response to an automated disengage signal, the cut-off valve may close to prevent pressurized air from reaching the shuttle valve via the AC valve and permit pressurized air to reach the shuttle valve via a pedal valve.
