  • Publication number: 20020148303
Abstract: A device is described for measuring at least one parameter, in particular of a volumetric flow, of a medium flowing in a line, in particular of the intake air volumetric flow of an internal combustion engine, having at least one measuring element around which the medium flows.

  • Publication number: 20020134245
Abstract: A device for determining at least one parameter of a flowing gas-liquid mixture, according to the related art has the disadvantage that it is not protected against liquids moving against the main flow direction.

  • Publication number: 20020104375
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for determining at least one parameter of a medium flowing in a line, in particular the intake air mass of an internal combustion engine. The solid particles contained in the line act on a measuring element and influence a characteristic curve behavior of the measuring element, which is used to determine parameters of the flowing medium. In order to reduce the action of solid particles on the measuring element, the measuring element is disposed in a line or a tubular body downstream of a protective screen, and an element for influencing movement paths of the solid particles is disposed in the line, on an inner wall. By intentionally influencing the movement paths of the solid particles, their action on the measuring element is considerably reduced.

  • Publication number: 20020000119
Abstract: A sensor sheath for a thermal air flow rate sensor that is intended for disposition in a pipeline through which a fluid flows. In order to prevent the spread of ignition to the remainder of the fluid upon ignition of the fluid in the surroundings of the sensor, a wire grid is provided with meshes which are embodied such that a fluid flows substantially unimpeded through the wire grid, and which has an opening through which the sensor to be sheathed can be introduced into the wire grid.
