  • Patent number: 6117127
Abstract: A medical system work station for open or minimally invasive surgery, has a holder tray and at least one terminal unit for handheld instruments of one or more medical devices, at least one equipment center, spatially separated from the terminal unit, for accepting non-manipulated components of the medical devices, and at least one connection unit that connects the terminal unit and the equipment center with one another.

  • Patent number: 5725610
Abstract: Additive composition enhancing the low temperature operability of average distillates beyond -20.degree. C. comprising at least 40% by weight of a composition consisting of: i) from 60 to 94% by weight of an antisedimentation additive resulting from the reaction of at least one aliphatic dicarboxylic compound and one polyamine of general formula (II) wherein R is a saturated aliphatic radical comprising from 1 to 32 carbon atoms, n is 2-4 and m is 1-4; and ii) 6-40 % by weight of a dispersing-stabilizing additive having a molecular weight varying from 15000 to 50000 resulting from the esterification reaction of a linear alcohol having from 6 to 24 atoms with an organic acid such as maleic acid and its halides, the ester obtained being polymerized with itself or a copolymerizing compound selected from aliphatic dicarboxylic compounds.

  • Patent number: 4926289
Abstract: An actively shielded, superconducting magnet of a nuclear magnetic resonance tomography apparatus has an inner coil system and an outer coil system connected in series to avoid an increase in the external field upon the quench of one of the coil systems. To avoid losing the protection of the shielding effect from external magnetic field disturbances, a superconducting current limiter having a low critical current-carrying capability is connected in the coil system to guide a difference current between the inner coil system and the outer coil system. To avoid an unwanted increase in the external field in the event of a quench of one of the coil systems, the current limiter becomes normally conductive in the presence of a current difference larger than a prescribed value.

  • Patent number: 4845653
Abstract: The method involves displaying at least three different parameters of particle-related data in multiple two-parameter data fields on a screen for viewing by a user. A position variable cursor is applied to any two-parameter data field and a region of data events is created within the data field by the cursor. Data events in the created region are linked and corresponding data events, defined by all other parameter data fields displayed on the screen, are then located. This method includes visually differentiating the data events in the other data fields which correspond to the data events in the created region of the first data field. This differentiation permits the user to identify these same data events on all of the two-parameter data fields to thereby facilitate visual exploratory data analysis.
