  • Patent number: 8494892
Abstract: The disclosure provides a method, software, and system for monitoring substances. In one embodiment, a method includes identifying a first document associated with a business process of an enterprise. A first volume of a substance based, at least in part, on the business document is determined. A second document associated with the business process of the enterprise is identified. A second volume of the substance based, at least in part, on the business document is determined. The first volume and the second volume is aggregated. • Patent number: 8147257
Abstract: An electrical, electronic, fiber-optic, hydraulic, or pneumatic component is mounted upon a rectangular support body having an upper surface containing at least one linear groove, wherein a first connector is mounted in protectively concealed relation adjacent a given vertical side wall of the groove beneath an overhanging portion of the support body that extends partially into the groove, and a second connector extends downwardly from the component into the groove when the component is seated on the top surface of the support body. When the component is mechanically or manually horizontally displaced laterally of the groove from its initial inserted position toward a connected position adjacent the given vertical wall, the second connector is brought into connection with the first connector. In the preferred embodiment, the first and second connectors are electrical devices connected with electrical or electronic circuits contained within the component.

  • Patent number: 7781684
Abstract: A compressible sealing gasket for supporting a cable in a wall opening contained in a housing wall includes a pair of gasket sections each having a planar surface that contains a recess, and at least one integral compressible sealing projection extending from the planar surface adjacent the recess. When the gasket sections are placed in an assembled condition with their planar surfaces in contiguous engagement, the recesses cooperate to define a cable opening for receiving a cable, and the projection is compressed between the gasket sections to seal the space between the gasket sections adjacent the cable opening. Preferably two laterally spaced integral sealing ribs are provided in each recess, which sealing ribs extend transversely completely across the recess and terminate at each end in a sealing projection that extends upwardly from the associated planar surface.

  • Patent number: 7680803
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for providing an open content interface from importing EH&S data. The invention provides a computer-implemented method that includes: receiving a first input specifying a substance described in a database of an EH&S system; identifying product data available for the substance, the identifying being based on information stored in a first XML file; generating and displaying a data tree that indicates the product data available for the substance, wherein information stored in the first XML file is used to generate the data tree; receiving a second input selecting which of the product data is to be imported to the database of the EH&S system; retrieving the product data from second XML file that includes the product data; using mapping information stored in a third XML file to map the product data retrieved into a data format supported by the EH&S system; and storing the mapped product data.

  • Patent number: 7503788
Abstract: A quick-fastening plug and socket arrangement includes a locking sleeve arranged concentrically between the plug and the circular socket opening within which the plug is axially inserted, which locking sleeve includes a resilient projection that is radially biased outwardly into locking engagement with screw threads carried by the inner circumferential surface of the socket opening. Alternatively, the projecting portion is biased radially inwardly for locking engagement with screw threads carried by the outer circumferential surface of the plug member. The sleeve is connected against longitudinal displacement relative to one of the plug and socket members, which sleeve is rotatable relative to the associated plug and socket member, thereby to release the plug for removal from the socket opening.

  • Patent number: 7491084
Abstract: A connector system includes a plurality of conductor piercing units supported by a frame for vertical displacement between upper disconnected and lower connected positions relative to a plurality of parallel spaced insulated conductors supported in a horizontal plane by a base plate. The piercing units are displaced between said upper and lower positions by operating disks eccentrically mounted for rotation on a horizontal support shaft that extends between an opposed pair of side walls of the frame. The base plate, frame and piercing unit assembly are arranged in an open-topped support housing that is closed by a cover member or lid. Electrical components may by mounted on the lid for connection with the piercing unit assembly.
