  • Patent number: 11202998
Abstract: A discharge system includes a mixing vessel and a feedstock input in fluid communication with the mixing vessel. A solvent input is in fluid communication with the mixing vessel. A discharge output is in fluid communication with an outlet of the mixing vessel to discharge effluent. A method for generating turbulence on a liquid surface within a discharge system includes supplying a mixing vessel with feedstock fluid and solvent fluid to generate a liquid mixture and a gas pocket in the mixing vessel. The method includes supplying an impinging solvent fluid through a nozzle extending from a first end of the mixing vessel to generate a roiling surface at an interface between the gas pocket and the liquid mixture and permit uptake of gas from the gas pocket into the liquid mixture.

  • Patent number: 11203452
Abstract: A system includes a forming funnel, a cutting element, and a fusing device. The forming funnel has divergent surfaces arranged to receive a mailer in an insertion direction between the divergent surfaces. The forming funnel includes a slot that constrains the mailer after the mailer is inserted between the divergent surfaces. The cutting element cuts off a portion of the mailer and to forms a cut end of the mailer as the mailer is moved through the slot in a sliding direction. The fusing device applies pressure to an exterior of the cut end of the mailer and applies heat to the cut end of the mailer as the mailer is moved through the slot. The pressure and the heat applied by the fusing device cause portions of the cut end to fuse together to close the mailer.

  • Patent number: 11205521
Abstract: A fuel core for a nuclear reactor in one embodiment includes an upper internals unit and a lower internals unit comprising nuclear fuel assemblies. The assembled fuel core includes an upper core plate, a lower core plate, and a plurality of channel boxes extending therebetween. Each channel box comprises a plurality of outer walls and inner walls collectively defining a longitudinally-extending interior channels or cells having a transverse cross sectional area configured for holding no more than a single nuclear fuel assembly in some embodiments. A cylindrical reflector circumferentially surrounds channel boxes and is engaged at opposing ends by the upper and lower core plates. Adjacent cells within each channel box are formed on opposite sides of inner walls such that the cells are separated from each other by the inner walls alone without any water gaps therebetween which benefits neutronics for some small modular reactor designs.

  • Patent number: 11204855
Abstract: In an example embodiment, a solution is provided to mine trace data, detangle it, and rewrite the trace data without redundancy. In an example embodiment, mining may take place before detangling, but such an ordering is not mandatory. Combining mining with detangling solves the technical problem of the production of difficult-to-read service traces, as it mines the “interesting” parts, corrects the timestamp order, and removes redundancy.
