  • Publication number: 20010042292
Abstract: An automated banking machine (10) includes sheet dispensing mechanisms (34, 36, 38, 40). Each sheet dispensing mechanism includes a picking member (72). The picking member rotates, with each rotation generally causing one sheet to be picked from a stack (42) of sheets. The picking member includes movable engaging portions supported on arcuate segments (128, 144). The engaging portions move radially outward to apply additional moving force to an end note bound in the stack responsive to movement of the picking member exceeding the movement of the end note. Sheets are carried in the machine by a transport (54) including a plurality of belt flights (174, 176, 178). Sheets are carried between the belt flights and projecting member portions (180, 182). At least one of the belt flights includes a plurality of longitudinally spaced projections (194, 200, 204, 207) on a sheet engaging surface thereof.

  • Patent number: 6089168
Abstract: A secure enclosure (10) for an automated banking machine includes a chest portion (12) and a moveable door (14). The door of the secure enclosure has mounted thereon a locking bolt work mechanism (24) which operates in a secure condition to engage locking bolt engaging apertures (46). The door further includes dead bolt projections (150) which engage apertures (62) when the door is in the closed position. The bolt work mechanism includes a drive cam (122) which is engageable by a member of a lock (126). The drive cam is connected to a pair of idler cams (118, 120) by L-links (134, 136). The idler cams are connected to a locking bolt (102) by S-links (138, 140). Movement of the drive cam enables moving the locking bolt between extended and retracted positions.

  • Patent number: 5970890
Abstract: A secure enclosure (10) for an automated banking machine includes a chest portion (12) and a moveable door (14). The door is supported on hinge assemblies (20, 22) which enable mounting and accurately positioning the door despite misalignment of the hinges. One hinge assembly includes a pin (156) which has a ball (186) thereon. The pin is accepted into a larger bore (164) of the other hinge assembly despite axial misalignment of the hinge and bore. The bore has an adjusting screw (188) movably positioned therein which engages the ball when the hinge assemblies are connected. Movement of the adjusting screw enables adjusting the relative positions of the hinge assemblies. In making the secure enclosure one hinge assembly is attached to the chest while the other hinge assembly is attached to the door. The hinge assemblies are connected to movably mount the door on the enclosure. The hinges are adjusted so that dead bolt projections (150) on the door engage aperture (62) when the door is in a closing position.
