Abstract: A formulation delivery system includes a cartridge, a control unit, and a stiction breaking element. The cartridge includes a reservoir chamber, a bolus chamber, a reservoir chamber piston, and a bolus chamber piston. The reservoir chamber piston is configured to move within the reservoir chamber to expel formulation from the reservoir chamber into the bolus chamber. The bolus chamber piston is configured to move within the bolus chamber to expel the formulation from the bolus chamber to a patient. The control unit is configured to engage with the cartridge and includes a control configured to activate the reservoir chamber piston or the bolus chamber piston. The piston stiction breaking element is configured to break a stiction between the reservoir chamber piston and the reservoir chamber or between the bolus chamber piston and the bolus chamber.

Abstract: A cursor-based character input interface inputs a character selected by a cursor. A character prediction unit is adapted to predict one or more next characters based on a current input character, wherein the input interface is adapted to present the one or more predicted next characters as a supplementary interface in proximity to the current input character, and wherein the one or more predicted next characters of the supplementary interface are selectable by the cursor.

Abstract: Various embodiments are generally directed to systems for designing, generating, and/or creating maintenance arrangements for repairable systems in an interactive workspace, such as for computer simulation of maintenance events. Some embodiments are particularly directed to an interactive workspace that enables assignments and intuitive modeling of a maintenance arrangement associated with one or more components in a reliability block diagram (RBD). In embodiments, a system maintenance arrangement for one or more components of the RBD may be generated in a diagram workspace by associating events selected from an event menu with one or more components in an RBD; and by associating actions selected from an action menu with one or more events via the addition of linking elements. In such embodiments, resolution of an occurrence of an event, such as during a computer simulation, may depend on performance or simulated performance of the actions associated with the event via linking elements.

Abstract: Traffic is transferred between a first consumer network node and a second consumer network node via a local connection established at a first service provider network node. The first service provider network node is connected to the first consumer network node via a first attachment circuit, and to the second network consumer node via a second attachment circuit. A loss in connectivity is detected between the first consumer network node and the second consumer network node via the local connection, and in response, traffic is transferred between the first consumer network node and the second consumer network node via a remote connection. The remote connection includes a pseudowire established between the first service provider network node and a second service provider network node. The second consumer network node is connected to the second service provider network node via a third attachment circuit.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for creating shared virtual spaces using a client device. For example, the disclosed systems receive a request from a user to share one or more digital content items with other users via a shared virtual space. The disclosed systems queue a request to send data to a content management system to create the shared virtual space. In some instances, the disclosed systems can determine that a connection between a user's client device and the content management system is below a threshold connectivity, and then simulate an online experience for the user despite the poor connection.

Abstract: Various embodiments of the present technology enable users to sign in to an account without a password. For example, when receiving a request to register a device with an account, a user can be prompted to enter their email address. In response, two tokens are generated. A first token is sent to a client application on the device and the second token is sent to the user's email. The user can then only login to their account with the device if the device has both tokens. Thus, if someone intercepts the email, they will be unable to login from another device since they don't have the first token. If the client token and email token cannot be automatically joined on the same device, a web page showing a code can be displayed on a first device, which can be entered on the second device to finish login process.

Abstract: A system and method for booking peer-to-peer asset transactions, dynamically assessing risk associated with the transactions, and generating custom insurance policies for the transactions. A risk profile is created for the asset, an owner of the asset, and a potential renter of the asset based on data about the asset, data about the owner, and data about the potential renter, respectively. A risk analysis is performed based the risk profiles of the asset, asset owner, and potential renter, and other information, such as a duration and a location associated with the transaction. This risk analysis is used to provide an insurance premium for the transaction and generate a custom insurance policy when the transaction is booked. Payment may also be taken to complete the transaction.

Abstract: Embodiments are provided for ephemeral eventing. Ephemeral eventing may involve sending metadata portions associated with content items from a user device to a content management system prior to uploading the content portions of the content items. The content management system may then assign the content items to one or more events. The event assignments may then be sent back to the user device, allowing the content items to be locally displayed according to their events as if the content items had already been uploaded to the content management system.

A messaging client receives a reference to a content item stored on a content management system and receives, from the content management system, a set of sharing options for the content item. The set of sharing options is presented to the user via the messaging client and a user selection of sharing options is received. The messaging client sends the user selection of sharing options to the content management system, wherein the content management system is configured to apply the user selection of sharing options to the content item.

Abstract: A hybrid vehicle includes a hybrid module, a transmission and a torque converter. The lubrication system associated with the torque converter includes an oil sump within the torque converter housing which is intended to be managed as a “dry” sump oil lubrication system. There is an oil pump in communication with the sump in order to manage the sump oil level. By monitoring an operational parameter of the oil pump motor (pressure, torque, or current) oil aeration can be detected.

Abstract: An ocular implantation device comprises a housing having a longitudinal axis, a needle configured to receive an implant, and a plunger and a rod operatively coupled together. The plunger and the rod are disposed in the housing and are collectively, translationally moveable along the longitudinal axis of the housing. The rod is configured to be receivable within at least a portion of the needle to enable the rod to move the implant therethrough. An actuator is operatively engaged with the plunger such that movement of the actuator in a direction aligned with the longitudinal axis of the housing results in the translational movement of the plunger and the rod along the longitudinal axis of the housing in order to deliver the implant through the needle to a target site. An alternative embodiment of an ocular implantation device uses a retractable needle to deliver an implant.

Abstract: An improved drop hitch apparatus has at least one hitch plate for coupling to a portion of a hitch assembly of a trailer, a support assembly for supporting the hitch assemblies of a trailer and a towing vehicle, and a mounting assembly for mounting the apparatus to at least a portion of a hitch assembly of a towing vehicle. The drop hitch apparatus is useful as a height adjustment adapter to couple a trailer and a towing vehicle when the trailer has a hitch assembly lower than that of the towing vehicle's hitch assembly. The mounting assembly has a mounting shelf, a mounting bar, a stability member. The support assembly has an upstanding support plate and an upstanding shaft member.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media for authenticating a user account with a content management system are disclosed. A synchronized content management system may receive an identifier via a first access platform. The identifier may be associated with a device. The content management system can generate a link based on the identifier and the device. The link may be then send to the device by using the identifier. When accessed by the device, the link may authenticate a user account associated with the device at a second access platform.

Abstract: Measures, including methods, systems and non-transitory computer-readable storage mediums, for use in processing multicast group membership discovery protocol messages in a data center network including a plurality of compute servers. Each compute server in the plurality is capable of running one or more virtual machines. At a multicast group membership discovery protocol proxy located on a compute server in the plurality, a multicast group membership discovery protocol report message is received requesting delivery of data associated with a specified multicast group from a specified multicast data source. It is determined whether the specified multicast data source is hosted by a virtual machine running on the compute server. In response to a positive determination, a request corresponding to the received multicast group membership discovery protocol report message is forwarded to the virtual machine hosting the specified multicast data source on the compute server.

Abstract: A system and apparatus which permits an existing communication device, such as a common smart phone, to have satellite communication capabilities. The apparatus can include a transmitter/receiver which can relay communications and data, between the existing communications device and a satellite network. Optionally, the data can be encrypted before being sent over the satellite network. Optionally, the transmitter/receiver can have a distress activation input which can automatically emit an SOS signal along with the transmitter/receiver's current GPS coordinates when a user activates the input.

Abstract: An implantable neurostimulation lead comprises a lead body having a distal end and a proximal end, and a lumen extending along a longitudinal axis between the distal and proximal ends. Multiple electrodes are provided proximate to the distal end of the lead body. The electrodes are configured to at least one of deliver stimulating pulses and sense electrical activity. A multi-layer coil is wound about the lumen and extends at least partially along a length of the lead body. The multi-layer coil includes a first winding formed with multiple winding turn segments wound about the lumen in a first direction about the longitudinal axis. The multilayer coil includes a second winding formed with multiple winding turn segments wound about the first winding in an opposite second direction about the longitudinal axis.
