  • Patent number: 8849201
Abstract: Optimized delivery of locally applicable Internet content to users. A cache of locally applicable Internet content is maintained in a local content server, based upon a monitoring of locations of users requesting Internet content. Requests for Internet content are received from user equipment through a wireless network base station, and served from the local content server, which is logically proximate to the wireless network base station. The caching of locally applicable Internet content may be maintained on a layered basis. Secure action request receipt and corresponding performance, and item condition alerts are also described.

  • Patent number: 8788229
Abstract: Provided are a digital oscilloscope and a method for controlling the same. The digital oscilloscope comprises a trace intensity synthesizer including a first intensity memory and a second intensity memory. The controlling procedure performed by the digital oscilloscope includes: a determining step for determining whether the time interval of a trigger signal is larger than a predetermined threshold, a first fluorescence processing step performed when the time interval of a trigger signal is equal to or less than the predetermined threshold, and a second fluorescence processing step performed when the time interval of a trigger signal is larger than the predetermined threshold. The digital oscilloscope can automatically select the dynamic fluorescence effect to pay attention to the long-term variation of a signal when the triggering rate is low, and the static fluorescence effect to pay attention to the rapid variation of a signal when the triggering rate is high.

  • Publication number: 20140180920
Abstract: Wireless personal area network (Zigbee, Bluetooth, UWB) and wireless identification technologies (Near Field Communication (NFC), Radio Frequency Identification (RFID)) are implemented in particular client server functions and communications. Connected with an Authentication Server, a wireless HUB authenticates user identification and provides the user with access to secure data communication with a wireless terminal such as a cellular phone or a PDA. A Location Server provides user locations via methods such as RSSI, TDOA, and GPS and sends location information to a Center Control Server and the Authentication Server. With location information, the Center Control Server initiates and optimizes secure information processes and coordinates the functions of servers and user terminals.

  • Patent number: 8712471
Abstract: Video signals for a mobile terminal are converted to accommodate reproduction by an alternative display terminal. The video signal is processed to provide a converted video signal appropriate for an alternative display terminal that is separate from the mobile terminal. This converted video signal is then provided for the alternative display terminal to accommodate the corresponding video display on a screen provided by the alternative (e.g., external) display terminal.

  • Publication number: 20140071818
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for efficiently directing communications are disclosed. On example entails receiving, from a mobile terminal, a communication directed to a cellular communication network, the communication being received in an alternative channel that differs from a channel of the cellular communication network. The communication is then converted for a relayed communication to the cellular communication network on behalf of the mobile terminal, the relayed communication being made through the cellular communication network.

  • Publication number: 20140012839
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer program products, for suggesting alternative queries based on original query search results. In one aspect, a method includes receiving search results for a first query, where each search result refers to a respective resource and includes a snippet of content from the respective resource, receiving one or more suggested second queries, for each of the suggested second queries: selecting a set of words in one of the snippets to represent the suggested second query, associating the suggested second query with the set so that a user can interact with a word in the set to invoke the suggested second query, and marking the set so as to indicate that the user can interact with a word in the set to invoke the suggested second query, and transmitting the search results including each marked set to a client device for presentation to the user.

  • Patent number: 8562697
Abstract: The invention discloses a process for hydrolyzed reforming of the ligneous cellulose biomass to produce bio-gasoline, which directly transfers the hydrolyzed-material liquid obtained from ligneous cellulose biomass through hydrolyzing into aqueous catalytic reforming system, the feed subjects to aqueous catalytic reforming reaction in low-temperature reforming reactor filled with catalyst Ni/SiO2—Al2O3 and in high-temperature reforming reactor filled with catalyst Ni/HZSM-5 in turn, the reactant is condensed and phase-separated: uncondensed bio-gasoline is absorbed by absorption liquid-C6 alkane, condensed liquid is phase-separated through phase-separator, bio-gasoline is obtained in the upper layer of the phase-separator. The invention creates a new process for producing high-quality liquid fuel oil using biomass as feedstock, which can automatically layer and separate, omitting the step of rectifying and purifying product. The feedstock is cheap and broadly available.
