Patent number: 8649634Abstract: A device and a method for image zooming are provided, in which two FIFO buffer units and a read/write control unit are added between a data storage unit and an image zooming unit. The read/write control unit respectively controls two FIFO buffer units to obtain and output the gray values of the pixels on the two adjacent channels to the image zooming unit in parallel. Then, the image zooming unit calculates gray values of pixels to be inserted between the two adjacent channels to finish interpolation. The image zooming unit need not read the gray values of the pixels on the two adjacent channels in the zooming direction from the data storage unit in series and in turn, but instead, may simultaneously read the gray values of the pixels on the two adjacent channels to pixels to be inserted from the two FIFO buffer units in parallel.Type: GrantFiled: September 20, 2010Date of Patent: February 11, 2014Assignee: Infovision Optoelectronics (Kunshan) Co., Ltd.Inventors: Wei Zhang, Bingyu Si, Chi-Tien Lee

Patent number: 8624073Abstract: Non-basic and non-acidic homogeneous catalysts organo-metallic compound of the formula: M(OCH3)x wherein M is B, Na, Mg, K, Ca, Sc, Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Ga, Ge, Al, Sn, Sb, Mo, Ag, and Cd and x is an integer from 2, 3 or 4 can catalyze transesterification of oils and fats having high free fatty acid content and with an acid number from 0.5 to 20, into biodiesel. B(OCH3)3 and Ge(OCH3)4, having low boiling points, are easily recovered from the biodiesel and glycerol phases and recycled for reuse. Continuous biodiesel production with the novel homogenous catalysts is achieved without the complicated and troublesome steps attendant with conventional processes using base or acid homogeneous catalyst. The high purity biodiesel is produced without acid-base neutralization, water wash, filtration, and solid disposal steps for removing the spent catalyst from the product streams associated with prior techniques.Type: GrantFiled: February 5, 2013Date of Patent: January 7, 2014Assignee: CPC Corporation, TaiwanInventors: Shih-Chieh Yang, Jen-Ray Chang, Maw-Tien Lee, Tzong-Bin Lin, Fu-Ming Lee, Cheng-Tsung Hong, Jeng-Cheng Lee

Patent number: 8536253Abstract: Catalytic partial oxidation using a metal oxide catalyst surface treats crumb rubber that is recovered from waste rubber tires. Advantages of using catalytically oxidized crumb rubber relative to using non-catalytically oxidized crumb rubber in making the rubberized concrete, includes superior mechanical strength and water-repealing capability, lower oxidation temperature and shorter oxidation time, and accelerated hydration times. Rubber oil (a gas condensate) co-produced from the crumb rubber partial oxidation process is equal to or better than the commercial superplasticizers. Industrial scale partial oxidation employs a continuous flow tubular reactor where a crumb rubber/catalyst mixture is fed into the reactor co-currently with an air/nitrogen mixture.Type: GrantFiled: October 1, 2012Date of Patent: September 17, 2013Assignee: Chun Well Industry Co.
