  • Patent number: 10545990
Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems, methods, and processes to perform replication between heterogeneous storage systems. Information associated with a backup stream is recorded during a backup operation by a source server and includes instructions. The instructions include an include instruction to include existing data and a write instruction to write new data during a replication operation. A request to perform the replication operation is received. In response to the request, the information is sent to a target server as part of performing the replication operation.

  • Patent number: 10348617
Abstract: A system and method is provided for stabilizing a BACnet MSTP network when failures occur. The system may include at least one processor in an MSTP device configured via executable instructions included in at least one memory to communicate data expecting reply (DER) messages for field devices (e.g., HVAC, lighting, shading) onto an MSTP network for receipt by at least one IP device on an Ethernet network connected to the MSTP network via a BACnet IP/MSTP router. The processor may be configured to determine when the at least one IP device sent a DER message has become a non-communicative device. Also the processor may be configured to send a Poll for Master (PFM) message to the determined non-communicative device. In addition, the processor may be configured to drop further DER messages to the determined non-communicative device responsive to an absence of receipt of a response to the PFM message.

  • Patent number: 10277457
Abstract: A wireless access point (10) connected to a fixed telecommunications network (12) broadcasts codes relating to one or more network identities (100, 101) identifying availability of wireless connection to the access point, If connection to the telecommunications network (12) is lost, it suspends one of the identity codes (100) and replaces it with a special identity code for a network identity (102) configured to co-operate with a mobile terminal (53) equipped to recognize the special identity code and transmit a message over another communications link (6, 49) to alert a service center (7) to the fault (13).

  • Patent number: 9914941
Abstract: Provided herein are compositions and methods for the heterologous production of acetyl-CoA-derived isoprenoids in a host cell. In some embodiments, the host cell is genetically modified to comprise a heterologous nucleotide sequence encoding an acetaldehyde dehydrogenase, acetylating (ADA, E.C. 1.2.1.10) and an MEV pathway comprising an NADH-using HMG-CoA reductase. In some embodiments, the host cell is genetically modified to comprise a heterologous nucleotide sequence encoding an ADA and an MEV pathway comprising an acetoacetyl-CoA synthase. In some embodiments, the genetically modified host cell further comprises one or more heterologous nucleotide sequences encoding a phosphoketolase and a phosphotransacetylase. In some embodiments, the genetically modified host cell further comprises a functional disruption of the native PDH-bypass. The compositions and methods described herein provide an energy-efficient yet redox balanced route for the heterologous production of acetyl-CoA-derived isoprenoids.

  • Patent number: 9909701
Abstract: A tube coupling to receive and hold a tube includes a coupling body (10) having a throughway to receive a portion of a tube. A collet (17) in the coupling body has legs (21) with outer surfaces that engage with a tapered surface (24) in the coupling body which urges the legs inwardly to resist withdrawal of the tube. A biasing member (26) provides a biasing force without the tube inserted to urge the legs axially onto the tapered surface. The collet (17) can grip a large variety of pipe diameters. The coupling may be supplied with a number of inserts (30A-D) for sealing with the inner diameter of a pipe, the inserts having different diameters. A tool (50) for preparing the end of a pipe to receive the coupling is also contemplated.

  • Publication number: 20170366588
Abstract: Examples of the present invention provide a method of converting a multicast stream into unicast segments. In particular, sequence identifiers are generated based on a clock reference field in the transport stream packets that make up the multicast stream. Every time a new sequence identifier is calculated, a new unicast segment is generated and assigned with the new sequence identifier. Transport stream packets are placed into the new segment until a packet is processed that causes a new sequence identifier to be generated, at which point another new segment is generated and packets placed into that segment. In an improved method, random access indicators in the transports stream packets are used to further constrain when a new segment is generated, to ensure that new segments are coincident with a packet having a random access indicator. This improvement makes random access easier back and forth between and within a stream.

  • Publication number: 20170307120
Abstract: A connector includes a body having a throughway with an open end. A shoulder in the throughway faces the open end and supports an O-ring. A collet in the open end of the throughway has a plurality of legs extending into the body away from the open end, each engaging with the body and having an inwardly facing tooth to grip, in use, a tube in the throughway. The body has a plurality of fingers extending to the open end. A cap fits over the open end of the body and extends from the open end towards the opposite end. The cap has a plurality of recesses in a wall at the open end into each of which one of the fingers is retained by a snap fit. The radially inwardly facing faces of the fingers of the body incline inwardly towards the open end providing a cap angle for the collet.

  • Patent number: 9455909
Abstract: One embodiment provides selectively routing Domain Name System (DNS) request for sub-domains associated with a first network through a tunnel associated with the first network via the interface. DNS requests for sub-domains associated with a second network are selectively routed through a tunnel associated with the second network via the interface. Embodiments include replacing the destination address for DNS requests for sub-domains associated with the second network to match an address of a DNS server associated with the second network. Data representative of DNS requests for sub-domains associated with the second network is stored. Embodiments forward the DNS requests for sub-domains associated with the second network with the address of the DNS server associated with the second network.

  • Patent number: 9365310
Abstract: The present invention is a label system and method for label alignment and placement on a container. The label system includes a first label or a container whereby the first label includes alignment symbology and a second label having an alignment area corresponding to the alignment symbology of the first label. The second label is positioned on the container whereby the alignment area of the second label is aligned with the alignment symbology of the first label. The method for label alignment and placement comprises the steps of (i) providing a container with identification information and a label bearing area; (ii) scanning the identification information; (iii) processing the identification information; (iv) printing indicia on a label at a position defined by the identification information; and (v) placing the label on the container with the indicia positioned at the desired predetermined location.

  • Patent number: 9351594
Abstract: Disclosed here are methods, devices, paradigms and structures for wiring a picture frame, and for generating user defined templates for hanging picture frames wired using the device in various layouts. The device allows the maker of the frame to install a hanging wire to the frame at a predefined position, for example, at a predefined distance from a top edge of the frame. A spring-loaded peg mounted on a flat slab, at a predefined distance from a wall member of the device, allows wiring the frame such that the apex of the wire is at the predefined distance from the top edge of the frame. The frame is placed in the device with the top edge of the frame adjacent to the wall member. The flat slab is configured to move vertically on a channel guide mounted on the wall member to accommodate varying thickness of the frame.
