  • Publication number: 20230375138
Abstract: A liquefied gas system for capturing boil-off gas and reversibly adsorbing the boil-off gas on an adsorbent for later desorption and use comprises a first vessel for storing liquefied gas; a means for delivering gas from the first vessel to a system endpoint; a second vessel for storing boil-off gas emitted from the first vessel, the second vessel containing at least one adsorbent; a means for delivering boil-off gas from the first vessel to the second vessel, whereby the boil-off gas is reversibly stored on the at least one adsorbent; and a means for delivering the stored boil-off gas from the second vessel to the system endpoint. Also disclosed is a method of capturing boil-off gas from a liquefied gas system, wherein the captured boil-off gas is captured on an adsorbent for further use in the system. In one embodiment of the system and the method, the liquefied gas is liquid hydrogen, and the captured boil-off gas is used to power a hydrogen fuel cell.

  • Patent number: 8376245
Abstract: A low energy snow making gun having at least one but preferably three operational stages each having at least one pair of small aperture water outlets which are oriented at a divergent angle to generate a respective pair of narrow angled water droplet streams which do not interfere with each other until they have reached a distance from the gun. A second pair of water outlets may be provided on each stage with each pair on each stage oriented at a divergent angle to maintain singularity of the streams over a distance thereby increasing the throwing power of the gun.

  • Patent number: 7481091
Abstract: A drive wheel has a generally cylindrical exterior surface with a circumferential groove. A block has a cylindrical working surface in sliding contact with the drive wheel, an operational face with an opening there through. A die is located in the opening and has an interior surface constituting a continuation of the working surface of the block. The die has an exit opening. A diverter is secured to the die and extends into the recess with a leading abutment edge positioned in operative proximity to the exit opening.

  • Publication number: 20080226613
Abstract: The present invention is based on the unexpected discovery that the loss of cells in inflamed tissue during chronic inflammation leads to the influx and long-term re-population of the tissue with bone marrow derived stem cells, and that it is these stem cells that are the primary source of metaplasia and cancer. Accordingly, the invention relates to various methods, reagents and kits for prognosing, diagnosing, staging, monitoring, preventing and treating cancers, particularly cancers associated with chronic inflammation.
