  • Publication number: 20080256076
Abstract: A method and system of controlling access to a system in a medical environment is provided. The method includes calculating a signature value for at least one file usable with the medical system, transferring the calculated signature value to a signature file, and providing at least one signature value in the signature file and at least one associated file to a file system configured to be received by the medical system. At least one signature value and at least one associated file are inspected by the medical system to verify the associated file is a known medical software application asset. The medical system comprises an input/output data port configured to receive the external memory storage device, and an operating system capable of reading medical system data from and writing medical system data to the memory storage device.

  • Publication number: 20080256075
Abstract: A method and apparatus of controlling access to a system containing vital corporation software and storing confidential data assets situated in an open accessible environment is provided. The method includes calculating a signature value for at least one file usable with the system, transferring the calculated signature value to a signature file, and providing at least one signature value in the signature file and at least one associated file to a file system configured to be received by the system. At least one signature value and at least one associated file are inspected by the system to verify the associated file is a known system software application asset. • Publication number: 20070263234
Abstract: An embodiment generally relates a device for rotating images. The device includes an image memory configured to store an image and a plurality of buffers. The plurality of buffers are configured to interface with the image memory to read data words of the image from the image memory and to write rotated data words to the image memory. The device also includes a logic module configured to interface with the plurality of buffers and to micro-rotate and macro-rotate an image based on a selection of three orientations. The logic module is also configured to execute a read of data words from the image memory to a first buffer of the plurality of buffers, a rotation of a data word, and a write of rotated data words from a second buffer of the plurality of buffers to the image memory substantially simultaneously.

  • Publication number: 20070116240
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for routing calls. The calls may be routed based on criteria. In one example, the criteria include a requirement that an agent be licensed. The licensing requirement may be determined, for example, based on the telephone number of a caller. The caller may specify additional criteria. The system may determine, from among agents meeting the licensing criterion and the customer-specified criteria, which available agent has a highest rating. The call may be routed to the highest-rated available agent meeting the licensing requirement and the customer-specified criteria.

  • Publication number: 20060000608
Abstract: A device for separating constituents of a fluid mixture includes an elongate vessel oriented at an acute angle to horizontal. The vessel is operable to receive the fluid mixture and direct the fluid mixture to flow in a convection cell spanning substantially a length of the vessel. The convection cell is formed by gravitational forces acting on the fluid mixture and is operable to deposit a heavy constituent of the fluid mixture about a lower end of the vessel and a light constituent of the fluid mixture about an upper end of the vessel.

  • Patent number: 6338088
Abstract: A service creation system for a communications network of the intelligent network type has 3 different levels at which service creation activities can be carried out, these being SCE1, SCE2 and SCE3. The use of separate levels allows access to the service creation system to be kept functionally separate for users having different interests in the network. Hence, features which have to be installed at the network element level for a selected service to be available can be created in SCE1. Marketable service features, which give a view of features in that they encapsulate call handling logic thereof together with support and management descriptions of the feature, can be created in SCE2. Service packages, which permit collection of marketable service features to meet requirements of a service together with servicespecific support and management information, can be created in either of SCE2 or SCE3.
