In one aspect, a device for removing a coating on a pipe includes a sleeve, an arm coupled to the sleeve, and a wheel coupled to the arm. The sleeve includes a wall and an aperture defined through the wall. The wall defines a cavity in the sleeve and the sleeve is adapted to receive the pipe in the cavity. The device also includes a wheel coupled to the arm and adapted to extend through the aperture to engage the coating on the pipe.
