  • Publication number: 20160012934
Abstract: A composite formulation and composite product are disclosed. The composite formulation includes a polymer matrix having metal particles, the metal particles including dendritic particles and tin-containing particles. The metal particles are blended within the polymer matrix at a temperature greater than the melt temperature of the polymer matrix. The tin containing particles are at a concentration in the composite formulation of, by volume, between 10% and 36%, and the dendritic particles are at a concentration in the composite formulation of, by volume, between 16% and 40%. The temperature at which the metal particles are blended generates metal-metal diffusion of the metal particles, producing intermetallic phases, the temperature being at least the intermetallic annealing temperature of the metal particles.

  • Publication number: 20150338343
Abstract: A silicon oil sensor is provided and includes a transparent member and a laser source emitting a laser beam. The transparent member includes a light receiving passageway with an oil receiving section and a side surface. The laser beam is directed into the light receiving passageway such that an incident angle ? of the laser beam (L) with respect to the side surface is selected so that a total reflection of the laser beam (L) occurs on the side surface when the oil receiving section is filled with air and exits out of the transparent member along a total reflection path (L1). A refraction of the laser beam (L) occurs along a refraction path (L2) when the oil receiving section collects silicon oil.

  • Patent number: 8760201
Abstract: Systems and methods for capacitance multiplication using one charge pump for a phase lock loop employ a digital controlled loop filter that operates in a time division mode. Embodiments of the loop filter block the current from the charge pump according to the digital control, such that the charge pump cannot charge or discharge the integral capacitor when the digital control is enabled. Because at least a portion of the current is blocked, it takes more time for the charge pump to charge or discharge the capacitor to a certain level. The capacitor then appears to be larger than its actual value with respect to operation of the phase lock loop.

  • Publication number: 20130120322
Abstract: Radial transducers are provided for acoustic touch sensors. Different radial transducer arrangements may allow for locating multiple simultaneous touches without ambiguity, in some embodiments without a bezel. Instead of transmitting acoustic waves along a line to be reflected at multiple points, surface acoustic waves are transmitted in a radial wave pattern. Surface acoustic waves are transmitted along different angles spread out over at least part of the touch region. Various techniques may be used to generate the radial wave pattern, such as a convex wedge of a wedge transducer, interference patterns, a curved piezoelectric element, a curved reflector, a curved edge of the substrate, a curved grating, or one or more lenses. These devices for controlling the spread of the surface acoustic waves may alternatively be used for control of the surface acoustic rays for transmission along a single line or just along two lines (e.g., X and Y axes).
